Good Sammy Baugh Ebay item

OK, I like to post really bad autographs on here.... but I was looking and this looks like it will go for a great price. I thought some Skins fan on here might be interested (no, it is not my item):

im a little confused. 1948 was not sammy baughs rookie year. in fact it is not even close. is there something i am missing here.

its his rookie card. meaning its his first card made of him im almost sure.. cuz im almost positive thats the first yr that actual football cards were made... atleast thats the first yr listed in Beckett price guide.

Think of it this way... I believe the autograph is legit. I believe it will go for a good price to the buyer and the card is a nice little bonus. I believe that is the set that SBF just completed.

The card is worth $200 or more. It is his rookie card because it was his first issue from a major card company but not the first item with his image on it. That would be a desk blotter from 1938 followed by a series of matchbook covers of Redskins players from 1939 - 1942, issued by a local DC jewelry company. Sammy also had a 1948 Leaf card.

Proir to to the 1948 Bowman release there was the 1935 National Chicle these had four Boston Redskins in the set.
