Hey guys, I constantly check craiglist just to see if I can find anything that I'm interested in. I ran across this and thought it is pretty damn cool. Sounds like a good deal, but I'm not 100% positive what they typically go for. Anyway, I thought I would post it on here in case a TRUE fan would be interested.

For almost any value at all, you need to be able to document the autographs. I would ask when where and how they were obtained. On those white panel balls you need to be careful because sharpie tends to fade over time. Most collectors know the blue fades, but fail to realize the black does too. If a paint pen is used, you have a much better chance of the autograph holding up.

this kinda of going to sound weird but Iam tired of the teams from the 80's and the 91 team. they feel like a old flame that got away, I am ready to write some new great chapters!

Very true. I have a baseball signed by Elrod Hendricks in a black ball-point pen that has faded into a faint lavender color. Luckily, another ball I have signed by him in black sharpie at a different time is still looking good. They're both around 20 years old. I was never an Orioles fan but I picked up a lot of their autographs at baseball card shows when I was a kid, they're just the closest team. My Jim Palmer is the best, also my first.

Nothing tops my Gibbs autographs though.

I couldn't quite translate what you were trying to say here, I think you were saying that I was selling this stuff. I'm not, I saw it on craigslist and thought I would share it with true fans. I don't care if anyone buys it, just wanted you guys to see it. It's probably overpriced, but I'm sure you could negotiate.

Sharpies are great for pictures etc. Black and silver are also good on helmets. Stay away from blue sharpie except on pictures.

I am 37, I enjoyed everyone of them, I am just saying it is time to move on. Just my opinion you can still fap to your Riggins and Rypien posters if you want.

Blue Sharpie looks awesome on photos. My Jim Palmer from elementary school still looks great.

I got a ball from the summer of 1992 signed by a lot of the players from the 92 superbowl. My mom was friends with Don Warren's wife back in the day and got it signed so theres nothing verifying it. I would never sell it but i can imagine there is a lot of stuff out there like mine that cant be verified. Its has spent its entire life in the carbord box it came in because ive always been to scared to do anything with it.

Also speaking of AWESOME memorabilia my Redskins beer vending machine is sold....... kind of sad

I sold it for 200 which was my minimum and it went to a big Redskins fan, i gave him a massive Redskins poster to go with it (i think im growing up, a little?). I did however have 2 different guys want to trade guns for it (Richmond's Craigslist is pretty sweet). That was hard to turn down but one of the guns was kind of crappy and i had no need for the other.
