| Re: Brunell sucks I'll admit I was down on Brunell in the first half like many others here. But I will give the man his props. He played like a smart savvy veteran in the second half which is why Gibbs has him running the show in the first place. He plays with guts and determination and a desire to win. I think it was in the middle of the 4th quarter when we had the ball and he dropped back to pass, saw daylight, and ran for a first down. Now if I were him especially after getting my knee whacked against the Giants, the last thing I'd be thinking about is running. Props to Brunell for showing some guts and playing to win. He may not be the most gifted QB on the field today, but he's experienced, he's smart, and he does what it takes to win. In the end, that's what counts.

| Re: Brunell sucks I used to hate Brunell last year I will be the first to admit it, he brought me around this year and today while wearing my Brunell jersey I never gave up faith, I trust Brunell from the first Dallas game til he calls it quits, as I do with Gibbs

| Re: Brunell sucks check this quote: "Let's settle this question once and for all. Brunell is still an extremely viable NFL quarterback, a fine leader with physical courage who sees the whole field and whose arms and legs are very much alive." so basically, if you still think he sucks (sitting here at 10-6 in the playoffs), you're worse than sally jenkins (this is her quote). |

| Re: Brunell sucks Brunell has started 15 of 16 games and we're in the playoffs. His main target Santana Moss just broke the all time Redskins receiving record by Bobby Mitchell set over 40 years ago. Glad we don't have Vick, Favre, Bledsoe, Brees, McNabb, Collins, Carr, Harrington, etc. We're in!!! Brunell has us in the playoffs!!! GO REDSKINS!!!

| Re: Brunell sucks I'm sure glad we didn't have chat boards when Sonny was lofting those floaters late in his career. We would never have allowed him to stay in Washington to do the game-day analysis. |

| Re: Brunell sucks I can't even believe I am reading a "brunell sucks" thread after he just led the Redskins to a 10-6 record and a playoff birth. Rediculous...

| Re: Brunell sucks Sentimentally I still like Ramsey, but everyone has to realize how much and how well Brunnel has played this season. Believe me I grudgely give him this credit. |

| Re: Brunell sucks I was a Brunell hater from day 1. I thought Ramsey should have been the guy. But, in no way do I think we would be 10-6 in the playoffs if Brunell wasn't pulling the string. Ramsey makes too many mistakes trying to force things downfield. Brunell manages the game, doesn't make mistakes, and takes what teams gives us. Our defense is too good to put in that position. With a defense that is as good as ours, you minimize your mistakes, and let the D give you field position. Ramsey would not have been able to complete a season with 22 TDs and ONLY 9 picks. Time and time again Brunell stepped up and made playes, whether is was throwing the ball away, moving around in the pocket buying some time, or running for the a big first down, which he has done a number of times this season. There is no other guy that deserves to be or frankly should be behind center than Brunell. He is our guy, and if hes healthy will be next year too. Ramsey will be dealt to the highest bidder, Campbell will be the #2 next year, then might start year #3. Dont hate on Brunell, without him we are not even in the playoffs. |

| Re: Brunell sucks Does anyone else here believe that Brunnel was the better choice for the Philly game (better than a healthy Ramsey)? Look, I like Ramsey, but we were playing the Eagles. The game plan for the offense was simple. Protect the football and score enough points to force the Eagles offense to make mistakes. Brunnel, while not healthy, can protect the football better than Ramsey. If we were going into a shoot out against a better and more polished offense, Ramsey may have been the better choice for the game. Playing Ramsey is like playing the stock market, high risk, high reward. Brunnel is more like a stock broker, he finds the hot stock (Moss, Cooley, Portis, Sellars...) and lets them do it.
