If you ever hear Sonny mention Theisman he often pronounces it "Theesman", which is the right way to say it. Joe changed it to rhyme with "Heisman". They gave it to Jim Plunkett anyway.

Isn't it ironic that a decade later he would lose again to Plunkett in the Super Bowl?

Horrible game, easily my worst Redskins memory growing up. I still remember Jack Squirek (sp) intercepting that pass before half time and waltzing into the end zone!

You're the man! ....Damn...Jack Squirek...who would have "thunk" it.

What's funny is that earlier that year we beat them in a shootout at RFK. Joe Washington was badasss in that game.
