Actually now that I think about it your right. Kerry Colbert only had 282 yards this past year (Patten had 226 yards and didn't even play the entire season). On top of that Smith didn't have a tight end type with the Panthers like the Redskins have with Cooley (yes I know hes an H-Back). Not to take anything away from Moss who is a fantastic player, but at this moment Smith is the best reciever in the NFL.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?

i hate smith's attitude but he is the best receiver right now and has been all year. I wouldn't take him over moss though.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?

i love some moss, but steve smith is on another level this season. entire defenses are shifting their formations towards him, yet he still manages to get the ball and explode for more yards. there are no other weapons on offense besides smith and delhomme.

at least we have portis and cooley to help out brunell and moss, and i think our line is also better.

4. No, Antonio Brown should return kicks if he's still on the team.

i doubt our line is better but w/e

moss and smith are both amazing, but i think moss is more of a team player, and he's already here, so i'll take him

no doubt... don't get me wrong, i'd keep moss cuz he's a proven player in our system.

in terms of line play, i'm looking at the panther's roster and the only guy that sticks out is wahle at guard... would you rather take their line than samuels, jansen, and thomas?

and it doesn't look like delhomme is getting much protection against this seahawk push- i think that's two INTs in the first quarter b/c of bad decion making due to heavy pressure. last week, our boys protected brunell a little better imo.

I think you are talking about Delhomme in your second point. Delhomme has been to the Super Bowl. Brunell will never take a team there.

yea your right but, brunell is on are team and you woulndt be sayin that if we were playin carolina tonight

smith just ran a punt back for a td,what if moss had done that in seattle? if you have a great kr then of course u dont use one of your star players, but if u dont,i think u have to go with your best, especially in a playoff game, like i said when i started this thread, when was the last time you saw somebody get hurt on a kr? that was a freak thing with dg,and gibbs still used him after that in certain situations. One think that really wish spurrier would have done was use dg as a punt returner in his last yr,he wasnt used much else, remember his last game when they let him return a punt, they should have done that all yr

I take Satana over Smith. Az-Zahir Hakim will be here as wr/ punt returner

I love Moss, but Smith is a slight notch above him right now.

In the words of Dan Snyder...

How much for both?

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?

I'll keep Santana Moss. Steve Smith loses his cool if he doesn't get the ball. I know he wants to have the majority of the offensive plays called to his side, but without a running game today, it became too easy the Seahawks to contain him. The absence of Deshaun Foster was definitely felt.

1.who would you rather have, moss or smith?
2.is smith better because delholmme is better than brunell?
3.why wont gibbs let star players return kicks? smith is considered the nfl's best rec this yr,but he's still returning kicks, other teams have their stars return kicks, gibbs didnt even have moss return punts in the playoffs even after browns fumble,i know it's because he doesnt want to risk injury, but i cannot remeber the last time i saw a kr get seriously injured
4.should moss return kicks?

well after the way smith played against the seahawks, i think that moss is the better player.
