| Re: Stadium Rumors SC, its good enough right now and danny is still paying off over 350mill in debt on the team, so i don't see it happening anytime remotely soon.

| Re: Stadium Rumors Fed Ex isn't by any means the prettiest stadium in the NFL but it is the most profitable and this is the main reason why I can't see the SKINs leaving anytime soon. When the SKINs are playing well and that place gets rockin it can be a great homefield advantage. My problem with it has always been it's location and lack of character. |

The problem with the Metrodome is that it's a drag on the economics of pro sports. For the Vikings, there are not enough corporate suites to raise the cash to compete with Washington, Dallas, or Chicago's new Soldier Field, for talent. For the Twins, the Dome is just too big. They only draw about 30,000 fans per game when they are winning. They can't affort the rent so lose money. (They've become specialists at developing young, unknown talent knowing they will lose them to a big market team some day.) The things that make the Metrodome so good for fans are killing the teams that call it home. The things that make FedEx so poor for fans, makes it a money machine for the Redskins to attract talent. This is why there are intense discussions between owners of small market teams and owners of big market teams. That's holding up a new labor agreement with the players association. It's the game between the seasons, and it's almost as interesting as what happens on the field. | |

| Re: Stadium Rumors I really dont think there is a chance of moving to a new stadium. Look at the idiots now with the baseball team. They agree to one thing, then decide to start changing things, they are a bunch of idiots. Plus this place seats over 90K people and bring in crap load of money. Who cares about the ambiance of being downtown, who wants to see bums laying on the damn streets when you go in and leave the game. The stadium might be ordinary in design, but the 90K fans that scream there head off every game make it a very tough place to play for opposing teams. Plus, when we start winning on a regular basis, this place will be the WORST place for opposing teams. I went to the Dallas game, and it was so load I couldn't hear the guy next to me. |

| Re: Stadium Rumors If this is a wish list thread then..... I'd like a Stadium in Northern Virginia closer to Redskins Park [and me] I'd like it to hold 125,216 people Retractable Roof to allow real grass, close for bad weather and Super Bowls and to help hold sound even with open. If this happens I get FREE tickets for my ideas peace
