From the way Carter is talking, he wants to be a DE and is under the impression that he will be used as such for the most part.

Apparently, the reason this wasn't done a few days ago is because he felt obligated to give Denver a chance to sign him since his dad played there for 12 years.

A lot of players are always rehabbing minor injuries (bumps/bruises/strains/etc) that aren't reported.
