| Re: The Taylor Jacobs watch 25%... ade made it two year in a row after he was a gauranteed cut and turned out to be somewhat useful, so there are no locks.

| Re: The Taylor Jacobs watch I think if it's between him and thrash he'll win. I like Thrash Marty should have never let him go to the Eagles. Last year thrash was slow. On the same token Jacobs was thowing up dueing the seahwks game. I still don't know if he makes it. I would take a gamble onan unproven rookie before I sign them. Time for new blood unless Jacobs shows what he got. |

| Re: The Taylor Jacobs watch Yeah, lost in all this WR discussion is David Patten. Gibbs has been raving about the guy all offseason. His attitude, his work ethic, and his performance in camp. He's a 100% lock to make the team (cap is not a concern, JoeCrisp, the team is under the cap and there aren't any decent players left available on the market). And there's no way in hell Gibbs will keep six WRs. These are things we should know just from paying close attention to the team. Gibbs never keeps 6 WRs, and he loves David Patten - remember, Gibbs signed Patten and traded for Thrash, he inherited Jacobs. With those things in mind, it comes down to Thrash vs Jacobs for 5th WR. So I don't see how anyone can put the odds at better than 50/50, and 50/50 would be ignoring the fact that Thrash is way better on special teams. Jacobs has no realistic shot, IMO. |

| Re: The Taylor Jacobs watch I don't know why the hell he's been wasting a roster spot for as long as he has. Let the guy go already... its not like he's going to ever come out of his shell and become a productive wideout... and who cares what he does in practice from time to time... hes never done anything at all when it counts... I have him with 0 chances on our roster... he'll get signed by the cowboys so they can pick his brain about our offense before they play us... just like barrow last year...

| Re: The Taylor Jacobs watch Would it be financially smart to keep Jacobs on the practice squad? I mean at this point we would already have to absorb his contract for this season and this would leave us with a guy who knows the offense and players on our team better than any free agent wideout. I know we are starting out with more quality depth at WR than last year but it wouldn’t hurt to be able to pull Jacobs off the practice squad to fill in for WR or ST duty barring an injury. |
