| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth But as bad as lots of people said Stallworth was, due to the fact that even the lowly Saints let him go, he shouldn't have had that "good game, against a bad team." Right? |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth Matty, I agree with you, Donte will have a big year for the Eagles, but he had a big day yesterday against a BAD team. Let's see how his numbers go against NFC East opponents. Everyone will be on the Eagle band wagon early this year because their schedule in Sept is easy. |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth Listen - good game against a bad team, I don't buy it. This kid is pretty damn good. Sure they blew like one coverage, and even when they were draped all over him, he still plucked the ball out of the air. No, he's not T.O., but yes he's a legitimate threat. |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth Don't get me wrong he's a good pickup for them considering what they had for WRs. Does he scare me? No. He's still a downgrade from TO talent-wise. |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth I think he'll have a pretty good year. I used to think McNabb was really overrated, but I've changed my opinion of him the last couple years. He makes everyone around him better by scrambling around and running, etc. I really hate the eagles though. |

Is Stallworth a pro-bowler? No. Is he a legit deep threat? Yes. The number one thing you have to defend when you're playing the Eagles is Brian Westbrook on screens out of the backfield. If you don't get on him fast he'll toast you in the open field. To do so, you need CBs who can run with Stallworth so you don't have to dedicate all kinds of safety help to him. The Texans didn't have that CB ability. I think we do have the CB strength, and we can neutralize Westbrook and Stallworth. But it's not easy. The Eagles are real good. | |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth i would put everyone within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage. mcnabbs first reads are always lj smith in the flat or westbrook out of the backfield

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth Everyone usually is within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage, Dmek. Safeties are rarely deeper than 20. |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth Yeah, sorry to pound my chest like that. I live in Philly and hence know the Eagles better than any team not named the Redskins. I heard lots of stuff about their training camp progress and stuff. And a whole bunch of blabity blah from my Philly-fan friends about how the Eagles were going to come back and kill the 'Skins, etcetera. I said I don't know about killing the 'Skins, but I do think the Eagles were ready to bounce back pretty well, they've got all their pieces back and healthy. |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth Team to beat is going overboard, especially if you're saying team to beat in the entire NFL. I'd say they're the strongest team in the NFC East besides us. Tough competition. We can take them if we have our act together though. Our coaches have theirs outclassed in the battle of wits; and our player personnel hangs with theirs in terms of talent. |

| Re: Eagles trade for Stallworth The key to the iggles was and has been McNabb, IMO. He makes bad receivers look decent, and good ones look great. Plus Reid's scheme fits his talent with McNabb and Westbrook. McNabb is the best QB in the NFC east, much as I hate to say it. But the Texans are very, very bad. Next week will give us a better idea of where the iggles are.
