0-2 but only 1 game out of first

We're 0-2 and only 1 game out of first.

Only 1 division game down, still 5 to go. All is not lost even though things seem pretty damn bleak right now.

That being said we need to get on track and FAST.

People seem to think we're the only 0-2 team in the NFL, but has anyone seen how awful the Bucs have looked? I'll bet they wished they had Griese now. Or how about everyone's SB pick, the Panthers. Those guys are 0-2 as well.

dude i dont care about the rest of the nfl our team is about on par with the raiders we look poor in just about every aspect

How about we just focus on our team........and F*** the other teams, because I dont my there merchandise and i dont cheer for them...., to everyone who said it was stupid to give up on Brunell, get you heads out your butt holes......the deepest ball he threw and completed was 15 yards......15 F***ing yards are you kidding.........shit, yea.......lets stick with #8

We have problems on offense and defense. Last year the problems were offense early on. This year we couldn't cover a 3rd down pass if we were getting paid to do so! All facets need to tighten up. Bet Saunders didn't sleep much nor did Gibbs. I bet Brunell had a crappy BDAY. I'll tell ya I had a crappy Brunell bday. I still believe but we gotta make it happen. Best we can finish is 14-2 and we got rough schedule ahead. Springs and Portis should help in wk4 but don't count on them to save our team if we can't produce in other areas...

22 penalties for 117 yards, and 2-14 on 3rd down...that sucks sooo bad.

I think we've found out over the last two games how important Portis is to the offense, and how important Springs is to the defense. Obviously 22 penalties can't be attributed to either of those guys, but it's pretty clear the offense and defense are almost worthless without them.

maybe sometimes coaches egos get in the way of coaching? we let bledsoe just sit back there all game because we keep telling ourselves that kenny wright and mike rumph cant cover anyone. this is not the aggressive style that made our d a top ten defense the last couple of years. and why cant our line block anymore?

After week one I looked at the schedule again. With the way we have played, I can see us going 5-6 again and having our backs against the wall. By then, if we are healthy, I think we will be ready to go on another 5 game tear and win the division at 10-6. (3 tough games at home, 2 so-so games on the road).

I agree that is bad, but those refs were throwing flags at everything (both teams). They seemed to be on some kind of yellow flag mission.

besides that run in december, that was how they've been blocking for the last two years :/.

I'm not sure the saunders/new shiny toys experiment is as super awesome as advertised. If brunell still looks this bad by half time in houston, give campbell a shot. that's a good game to see if he can do anything. I can't possibly see brunell leading anyone to a superbowl, and next year he'll be even older and more injury prone. So if we've got a window, let's see if we've got a QB to go with it.

trying not to over react, but that's a second terrible game where the offense and defense were both huge letdowns. We've earned our record thus far :/ hopefully it'll click like last year, but i think the offseason looks even more like an overreaction that failed to address the team's actual needs for window dressing.

All I can say is look back to last year. 5-6. The season appeared to be lost. I for one sure thought it was. The team turned it around. Anything is possible and it's a very long season.

Things can only improve from here on out.

As you said, look back to 5-6 last year. That was our low point at 1 game below .500. This year we're aleady 2 games below .500 after only two games.
