I was in 1967 i remember the over the hill gang in the early 70's watching the of sonny time and kilmer leading great win in 75 in ot against the cowboys, and the vikings that year too. in 76 win they went down to dallas and beat them to clinch a playoff bearth with a pass from kilmer to mike thomas and blocking a punt in that game i forget the player name who did that and in 77 win allen left for la rams. in 78 the thrill of going 6-0 then and beating dallas on monday night football with thiesman holding the ball over his head giving them a saftey. then the hearbreak of going 8-8 and in 79 with about 3 to 4 minutes left thing we won the divinsion then starrbach breaking our hearts with 2 td in the final mins to be out and knocking us out of the playoffs because of a tiebreaker beacause the bears killed the cards by more than 35 points earlier that day.

Take a deep breath and trust in Gibbs. All will be well.

i could go on i been with my skins forever im a rabid redskin fan winner from 91 when george michaels had his contest in 91. so go ahead and call me a cowboy fan if that make you feel better but im skins fan to the bone who tired of the crap of not winning with not draft picks ever and signing everyone crap for 10 million here and there like carter acculeta etc and never keeping our own guys like pierce smoot disrespecting players like green to bring in sanders cutiing brian mitchell the heart and soul of the team. screwing brad johnson for jeff george never developing a young qb never investing the draft, bacause we always win the super bowl in april in free agency would love to win the super bowl in feb when it counts. so go ahead and call me names if that makes you feel better you can enjoy not making playoff or losing season but im tired of it i want to win not for one year but have a chance to win for 10 yrs. hail to the redskins.

And I'm more than willing to pat him on the back for the record, because that is impressive, no matter who accomplished it.

And you use the word "bashing" a bit too freely. The majority of us are not bashing, but questioning. Most logical thinking people will look at all the facts in a given situation before jumping to a conclusion. The facts in the Brunell situation don't point to the conclusion that Brunell has been magically renewed, and has found the fountain of youth. All I'm looking for is a little more proof that yesterday wasn't a fluke. If we were all just here to circle jerk the Redskins, it'd be a pretty boring forum.
Southpaw - I quote you "The Redskins will barely squeak by the Texans . Score: 17-10"... time to eat crow!

Ha! I guess you got me on the score. Serve up the crow. I just hope you're still an active member when Gibbs is gone in one or two seasons for your plate of crow for this one:

What gives?

How about staying with a winning game plan that took time off the clock!

I can't believe how much hate is still goin' 'round. Things will continue to get better. I can't believe we went from a "system" one week to AL SAUNDERS OFFENSIVE SYSTEM the next. This system has the potenial to rock teams like Jax and Indy utilizing the same trickery+playmakers scheme our D is known for. Carr is the second rated passer in the league...let's make that trade now. This record will stand for a long time, congratulations Mark.

What are you crying about?

The Skins were a playoff team last year.

It's only week 4 of this season.

Calm down and enjoy the ride.

Re: Hats off to Mark Brunell setting a NFL record!

Sounds like Southpaw is massaging the illdefined Spear. I am sorry to say, they must not be able to read. The rest of us have noticed that the title of this thread is

"Hats off to Mark Brunell setting a NFL record!"

The rest of us have realized that their comments belong in the

"Time to bench Brunell? (Mega Man Merge)"

Following the great tradition of analysis for this board, I have rerun this thread in SUPER SLO-MO and have reduced the possibilities to 3:
1) They have Alzheimers disease. (They forgot that the "bench Brunell" threat exists.)
2) They are blind, and have someone with Alzheimers deciding in which thread their posts belong, or
3) They are not familiar with the expression "hats off".
