| Re: The Season Is Over Exactly! It doesn't matter that Griffen and Salave'a were out cause they played last week and Tiki murdered the D. They look horrible. It can't be all them missing Springs. I don't really know what the hell it is anymore. The defense looks horrid and that whole team needs a spark. A spark on offense and a spark on defense. I don't know who can give it to them, but I know they won't get it from Brunell on offense, so there's no point in leaving him in. The D needs some better linebackers and the defensive tackles back. They miss Griffen bad, but they still should have won this game today.

| Re: The Season Is Over Just got back from the game.... I want to make someone a scapegoat really really bad, but the entire team front to back was awful. Flashes of brilliance on offense followed by the worst defensive outing I've seen in a long time. Some questionable calls throughout the game... but I didn't see it on TV (was the ARE fumble call correct?) Crowd was great, but Brunell got the boo birds like crazy. We need to get hungry on defense or this season is going to be very very boring. Anything can happen after the bye week...

| Re: The Season Is Over There is actually a big difference between having confidence and having false hope. I guess some of us just see past having false hope.

| Re: The Season Is Over The season isn't over, but there needs to be a serious turn around, bigger than the one we had last year. |

| Re: The Season Is Over run defense is lvp today... they were letting henry look like larry johnson. i also think the titans really outcoached the skins today... before young was hobbled, i think they really kept our defense on its heels with some of the misdirection and boots. indy's gonna be well rested and at home next week. not looking good at all. |

| Re: The Season Is Over The question says can we. The answer to that is undoubtably yes. Will we? I'm more optimistic then the average fan (I watched a Raider loss last year at FedEx), but I question whether or not this team has what it takes. Defensively its nothing but problems right now. I no longer believe that the Indy game has any significance. I almost dont care if we win or lose next week. I thought it was going to be a statement game, but now, not really. The key to this season is to get really hot after the bye week. And it starts with Dallas. Which means we need Brunell through that game. 3-4 or 2-5. What's the difference? We were 5-6 last year. We could be better than that this year 11 games in. 11-5 is still doable. But over the next two weeks, Gregg Willams has to get his unit playing like the team of 2004 and 2005. He's had 6 weeks to show improvement and has yet to do so. Put me down as very cautiously optimistic right now. |
