we brought in young guys in ortega and robert johnson, but obviously, since koz is the one coming back, they think he's better right now and possibly that the other young guys they looked at weren't worth trying to coach up. as for the other stuff, you really need to try reading more carefully. i've stated that we'd draft a DE in the firt round, which would be a replacement. I don't know why you think that's a contradiction.

| Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year (merged) To all those of you that suggest we take a great defensive lineman, or a CB in the first round of the draft, I want to to say that the Redskins need to get back to simply picking the best player available. During Gibbs first rain, anytime he was asked what kind of player we would pick in any round he would say "We are not good enough to pick a specific position, we will pick the best player available, in each round". Maybe this was not really his philosophy, maybe it was Bethards. What ever the case may be, thats what they need to do. |
