I sure hope he does. He wasnt injured in college if I remember correctly, and he was injury free his rookie year, he just wasnt named the starter until week four i beleive. Last year he had an injury that kept him a few weeks but hopefully it wont happen again. he is a litle guy, many people critisize him for his size.

This is the most abstract thing to call. It depends on how he get's hit, jason. He could snap his leg in half for all we know.

u knocked on wood after typing that didn't u?

of course we all hope he can last the entire season, but with as much as gibbs loves to run the ball, i could see portis' backup having 400 to 600 yards this season.

I hope he plays all year, but the chances are not good in this day and age. It is comforting to know that we have 2 or three others that could pick up the slack if necessary. Remember, Gibbs had several backs that stepped in and took the load (Timmy Smith).

Hopefully we will not have to worry about it and Portis remains healthy.
