| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today I'm not sure how much of this I really believe. Looks like the only one who lost his cool was George Michael. The account I read was that the meeting was "intense". It didn't come across quite the way George Michael reported it. |

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today Even Moss, when he talks, I feel like he has a bad taste in his mouth just talking about the team. They don't even care and we have 6 games to go! With Portis out and Brunell benched I just feel like our stars on this team have given up and couldn't care less... IT SUCKS! |

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today I don't see how you can motivate a team that is as depressed as the Skins are. They all feel let down. THe high of thinking they are a SB team and then to have a season like this? I think they are all flat out depressed. I don't know how anyone can motivate a team in this kind of an emotional crises. |

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today This is all the Redskins need to do: Power play The power play gives a gap scheme, meaning the offensive line has angle-down blocks preventing the defensive end from penetrating. It also creates double teams at the line of scrimmage. The tight end blocks down on the defensive end, the front side guard blocks down on the nose guard, the fullback kicks out on the outside linebacker and the back side guard pulls around for the guard. It is a hard-hitting off-tackle play. ![]() Tailback counter Another gap blocking scheme is the tailback counter. This is a misdirection play where it initially looks like it is going in the path of the fullback. The offense can pull the backside guard and tackle. The guard kicks out the outside linebacker. The fullback fills weak to allow the tackle to pull and to give the defense a misdirection look. Notice again the gap blocking which eliminates penetration by the defense. ![]()

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today Please, anyone who watches Michael on a regular basis should see his obvious bias. He's buddies with Gibbs, and when other people such as Riggins and Sonny talk about changing things, whats wrong with coaching, etc. He constantly blames anyone but Gibbs. I hate that type of shit. There's no way you can say Michael isn't in Gibbs pocket, if so I question either how often you look at Michael or Gibbs. Do I think Gibbs SHOULD have gone off and yelled at the players? Of course. It's about time. Should have been letting them have it from day one with the way we've been playing. As far as players being out of it because Brunell was benched. Yeah right. If I were a player I'd glad to have ol' short arm outta there.

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today It's funny when George Michael get's hot under the collar and defends Joe Gibbs it's great to hear, but when Steve Czaban busts Brunell's sorry ass chops, he's a douche. Whatever. Michael is so close to Gibbs he might as well be a part of the 'extended coaching' staff. Too little, too late in my opinion. |

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today the timing is kind of strange. i wonder why coach took so long to do this?

I too have been frustrated as to why we don't see more of Duckett. I'm not convinced he'd do well as the featured back because of the teams lack of faith in his blocking. Saunders also likes backs who operate well in space, can catch, block, as well as run. I'm not so sure Duckett fits all the criteria of a featured back, but he can be effective in short yardage when that is the only objective.

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today It remains to be seen what effect Gibbs's venting will have because I have a feeling it may be a little late for that at this point, despite the fact it was neccessary. What I want to see for the remainder of the season is who's going to be there now that we don't have a postseason berth to look foreward to. These next six games will determine who want's to be here, and who will be someplace else next season. I'm going to be looking for those anxious to miss time with various excuses, as opposed to those who are going to be a fight to the very end. These last six games will determine, and seperate the warriors from the slackers.

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today if he could've only lost his temper after we eked out a win against the Jaguars, then we'd be in decent shape now. Too late Joe, but better late than never. How about you follow up this temper tantrum with a few cuts...starting with Renaldo Wynn. |

| Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today It's nice to finally see a little fire in this team - hopefully it will translate into better execution on game day. Nothing is more frustrating than a team that is losing badly and doesn't seem to care. Joking around on the sidelines and stupid cliche comments at press conferences get really old.
