| Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick --------- on a side note WELCOME PUDGE! I think if your looking for some perspective on Jason Campbell, they've summed him up pretty well. I'll run a quick pro's and con's for ya... The Good 1)Jason's best quality thus far has been his incredible poise in the pocket. Under pressure he has shown to be competive. He's broken several tackles, avoided sacks, scrambled for first downs, and gotten the ball off in a relatively timely fashion. 2)He has a very powerful arm, giving our offense (which lacked the deep ball under Brunell) a new dimension that defenses have to respect. ESPN's "Jaws" breaks down his first start here: To Analyze Campbell, 'Jaws' Goes Straight to Video - washingtonpost.com 3)Campbell hasn't thrown those costly INT's. Most of everyone (including me) optimistically assumed that he would throw several picks in his first few games. Thus far, he has proven everyone wrong, and hasn't committed those costly turnovers. The Bad 1) Jason tends to hold on the ball a little to long sometimes, but Saunders appears to have instituted a "max protect" scheme in order to give him some extra time. 2) Some are worried that his release is a hair too long, and that may cause him issues when pressured (ie, ball stripped, d-line anticipating the throws and deflecting the passes, etc...). So far it's been a very minor problem, but remains an issue. 3) He's young. He may make mistakes, and hasn't seen every NFL defense. Once again, this has yet to be seen as a major factor.

| Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick It's kind of like spending the night at a friends house when you're a kid for the first time and his parents argue and yell at each other the entire time.

| Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick Welcome Pudge, I do see us taking the Falcons this week (which has nothing to do with ANY type of.............Skins bias). JC is just figuring out which way is up. Kid is super cool under fire and can evade the rush. LOVE the way he drills the ball to the guys in stride. If you saw Cool last week. JC hit him over the middle in full gallop. I was thinking, there gonna have to net that man to stop him. When JC figures out where m Moss, Lloyd, and L are hiding, it's gonna be fun! I have always been a little disappointed in Vick. I don't know if it's him or the people who coach him. The most under utilized talent in the league. Always has been. The Eagles made it work with Cunningham. Maybe he's better in a Beefed up Randel El sort of role. Lots of money, and he probably wouldn't go for that. He's always been entertaining to watch, and puts a lot of people in the stands.

| Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick welcome, and while i know the falcons are a strong running team, your defense hasn't played anywhere near a playoff teams defense. with Abraham and malloy, i thought you guys would be alot better. and yes, i know Abraham has been hurt. but the falcons are still underachieving.ummm, that sounds alot like the skins

| Re: Jason Campbell vs. Vick I think the skins will win this week. If they just contain Vick a little then there's nothing else Atlanta can do on offense. It will be tough but it can be done. AZs for Vick vs Campbell, I'll take JC every time. He's much more of a pro style QB that has the potential to get better. Vick is as good as he will ever get (which is not that good) and he's only getting older. |
