| Re: NFL Network broadcasts It wouldn't surprise me if he's actually a cool guy, but all we see at home is what he gives us on camera and most times he comes off as a jackass. |

| Re: NFL Network broadcasts Salisbury is probably fully aware that he comes off like a jackass on camera. But being agreeable and boring does not keep you on TV even if you have knowledge. That's what is wrong with sports coverage on TV now...since there is so much of it these guys need to be different to stand out from the crowd. ESPN probably likes him more since fans hate him because they know people will tune in to see what he says.

| Re: NFL Network broadcasts I really haven't paid much attention to the NFLN's new broadcasts, i watched one game once and the commentary was so bad i just muted it and turned on some music. |

| Re: NFL Network broadcasts Yeah but CBS loses points with me since they don't carry all the games in HD. |

| Re: NFL Network broadcasts I read an article about that recently in Broadcast & Cable magazine and they said that it's basically quantity over quality. It is supposedly very expensive to broadcast the games in HD with all the equipment and shit like that so CBS invested in state of the art HD equipment and cover only a few games in HD whereas Fox basically invested in lower level equipment and they cover all the games. I agree with you though that it sucks that CBS only broadcast only a few games a week in HD, but I was really happy to hear that they are doing the Super Bowl this year. |

With all the revenue the NFL generates and all the money the networks spend on these NFL deals, I don't want to hear about HD being too expensive. | |

| Re: NFL Network broadcasts Speaking of broadcasters who do you think is the best play-by-play man and best analyst for NFL coverage? I think Jim Nantz and the old mainstay John Madden would top my list. |

| Re: NFL Network broadcasts And not only that, he is an idiot. If he is arrogent but he knows what he is talking about, then I have less of a problem. But usually he is talking about stuff that doesn't make any sense and then Clayton comes on and owns him.
