| A Diamond in the ruff A good diamond is so hard to find. I talked to some reliable sources of mine who gave me some insight on Justin Hickman of UCLA, now Rookie DE for the skins. Apparently he's the Real Deal. It was told to me he is very smart, Fast, and a difference maker on the field. I hope he makes it to preseason. I want see what he got and if its true. It would be great to see him bolster our line. Who if anyone do you think will be our diamond in training camp?

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff If you're not specifying what year they were taken in, I'm going to say Golston is going to surprise people this year. Not only do I think he'll be better than last year, I'm going to go so far as saying he will be a good to great player in the next year or two.

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff I think he is already banged up. Not promising when a guy with his college stats doesn't get drafted because of size issues and then gets banged up before training camo even starts. |

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff I don't know his parents but he did play on the same team as a family member of mine who does still keep up with him currently.

I want to see Montgomery step up, he's got the size and talent but from most accounts he just needs to sharpen up on his mental approach to the game. | |

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff I heard Byron W., the CB is a diamond in the rough. Heard he's been impressing the coaches

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff HIckman was one of those undrafted fa's that everyone (scouts et al) was surprised that he didn't get picked. He's already got a knee injury but doesn't sound like something that will keep him out of camp. I remember the week after the draft when we signed him a no. of people here were pegging him as one to watch. He's undersized, about 6'1, 250, as I recall, and there were doubts about his ability to play olb. If he could make the roster as a pass rush specialist, whether stand up olb or de, that would be cool. i'm certainly rooting for him to make the team. |

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff People who can be suprises is one of my favorite parts of the offseason, especially when training camp, scrimmages, and pre season games start. Last year Jesse Lumbsden was my favorite and the year before antonio brown. Too bad it didn't work out but i really thought both of them were going to be good for our offense.

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff Yeah, I was TOTALLY on the Antonio Brown bandwagon ESPECIALLY after reading training camp reports where people were saying he was looking like the best receiver on the field. MAN, what a disappointment!

| Re: A Diamond in the ruff I love how GW puts it. He needed accountability and availability. It was availability that was his problem...
