| Re: What!!!? Brunell to the Falcons? Brunell is not done here in Washington. In relief he'll do very well. Falcons will probably field Culpepper if he's healthy or see if Jake Plummer will come to ATL.

| Re: What!!!? Brunell to the Falcons? If the Redskins can dump Brunnel's salary and cap hit and get a decent draft pick in return, dump his ass. I do not want to see Dink and Dunk anymore.

I guarantee you that Brunell would be far better than any other QB we have on the current depth chart should JC get hurt. To say otherwise is just incorrect. I really think he'd be fine and able to maintain whatever JC started, assuming JC starts something good. The jury is still out.

I'll step up and take the backup position so we can stop arguing.

To me, a football player in a large NCAA school getting a degree doesn't float with me too well. Sure some are legit, but more often than not these players have communication or kinesiology as a major, and a lot of grades are given to them because of their role as a vital football player and the amount of time that requires. Again, not all do that, but you never know who does.

He was also named to the Conference USA Commissioner's honor roll 5 times. When it came to school he was no joke, Tulane is a good school too. His football IQ might be lacking, but off the field he seems pretty sharp.

Good post. It proves his school literacy.

I knew a couple guys on the team, they certainly didn't get a free pass. And, on that note, they were all pretty damn bright. If you're recruited by TU you have to have the grades to go there. It doesn't have a reputation for being the "Harvard of the South" for no reason. Finally, from personal experience, I have no idea how Pat double majored. I was killing myself trying to keep up with 12 credits there. I came away with great grades, but I worked as hard as I ever have for those A's. That school is hard as hell, to double major without being an athlete is crazy, I don't see how he did it.
