John Riggins prediction for the '07 season I heard through the grapevine that Riggo predicted the Skins will be one of the top 5 teams in the NFL this year. Did anyone else hear this? I'm interested in hearing more about what he said and his rationale behind his thoughts.

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season Yea it was on yesterdays show. He started with Marcus Washington and what happend to him last year and now that he looks back on last year he said MW was not the same person. He thought that our D would jump back to the top as GW has allot of pride and will fix our D problems. He also mentioned that our O with the hard work JC has put into the off season and the second year in Saunders system should put more points on the board. His main point was that our D if they bounce back as he think they will should keep the games close making it easier for the O to win the games.

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season I listen to his radio show just about every day, and I've never heard him say that he thinks the Redskins will be that good. I've heard him say that the Redskins are in a better position to win the division than any other team in the NFC East. I've also heard him say that he thinks Gibbs will find some way to work Brunell into the lineup...

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season Maybe he said top 5 offense or defense? Can anyone clarify what he said exactly regarding that?

| Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season Well.........whatever is determined to be "what he said", he does not cut the Skins, Gibbs or anyone else any slack. If he said it, he believes without any homerism involved

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season I'm gonna let you guys in on a little secret, John Riggins doesn't know anything about football. Ya ya i know he's in the hall of fame, but that was a result of personnel talent, not football knowledge. He radio show is the worst I have ever heard, he doesn't know anything about any of the teams in the nfl and frankly he doesn't know much about the skins either. Top five team in the nfl, so were up there with New england, san Diego, colts, ravens, saints?????

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season I just thought it was interesting since he's usually pretty negative about the team. I'm fully aware that he's a bit of a nut, but that's also what makes him Riggo.

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season I really love Riggo and everything he did for our club, but I can't take him seriously when it comes to his prognostications and opinions about the league.

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season Love Riggo the player and the personality but not the greatest analyst. I think that the D will be top 5 in yardage allowed but some of that is going to be bc of the short fields other teams will have to work with. I think a better indicator of improvement will be more TO's from the D.

Re: John Riggins prediction for the '07 season Wow I can't figure this site out. A guy comes along and predicts that we will be ranked around 28 and he is stupid, a di$%, should be fired, knows nothing about football, etc... . Then Riggins says we could be a top 5 team and people say the same thing about him.
