though on the glass is half full thinking, we have looked much better this year in pre-season then last year. D looks awesome and the O is finding it's way sprinkle in some Clinton and Samuels should be awesome.

BTW- On a side note to you autography whores, go to the Greenbelt Marriott about 3.5 hours before kick off and you can get everyones autograph very easily, they are all just chilling in the lobby. I even saw Gibbs. Smooty has an awesome Rolls, all white with huge rims. IT was cool!

Slow down. Last year our featureback suffered a significant injury and Springs (arguably our best defender) suffered an injury that he never recovered from.

I feel bad for the guy but losing Espy has zero impact on our season. We are crapping wide receivers right now. Losing Washington for two weeks could be a blessing. There is no reason for him to be out there. You know what he brings every week and he is a warrior.

Campbell is a tough guy too. This guy is a born leader.

As far as that being a dirty hit, no way. It reminded me a lot of the Palmer hit but there was no malice on his part. He was falling down and the QB happened to be there. We aren't watching synchronized swimming, people.

I understand that its illegal, I'm not saying there shouldnt have been a flag...but at the same time I'm just saying that the guy was just trying to make a play to help his team win the game. I dont think he did anything with the intent to injur anyone or that he's a "dirty" player.

I can think of 4 letters that come to mind. Then I started thinking of 7 other letters..........BRUNELL.............Another reason why I'd like to have Collins as 2nd string.

His intent is irrelevant. The guy hit him low and the league needs to send a message that this sort of thing won't be tolerated. I'd like to see players fined and suspended for that kind the shit.

If you're going to fine someone, I agree that intent is irrelavent. However if you're going to suspend someone, I disagree completley. I mean it was barley the guys fault at all, thats kind of just where he fell, I dont think you can suspend a guy for somthing like that.

If you look at Campbell's video after the game he seems like he's slightly pissed off about the hit. His reaction is subtle, but JC isn't a particularly emotional guy, so something subtle could mean a lot.

These rules are in place to protect the QB, and the hit was probably more of a negligent hit than a dirty one.

He should be fined, but not suspended. I don't want to sit here and be an armchair judge on the situation, because it's a very dynamic game and some things are unavoidable, but that his was too low to do nothing about.

Dude, did you see the play? Check out 1:35 min into the second clip (on the right side of the page) and see what the mofo does.

For those that saw it, admit it the season flashed before your eyes.
I didn't see it live either, but heard that Campbell went down with a knee injury. I had no idea of the severity of it, but honestly my first thought was it's probably nothing but there must be hundreds of "Campbell down, Apocalypse now" posts on the Warpath

We may just have to agree to disagree. I just dont think he did anything intentionally. I'm not saying it was the cleanest of plays, but I just think you need to (if you're calling for a suspension), look at both sides of the case. He was going down and off balancewhen he made the hit and I dont think you can ask guys to not try to make the play.... I can see where you're coming from, and I think if he's fined this week its perfectly warrented, but I dont think you can suspened a guy for somthing like that, but thats just me.

I just think if say C. Griff did somthing like that week 3, and he was suspended for a game, skins' fans would be going ape-shit. Fine, yes, guys get fined all the time for hits and I dont think this is any different, but a suspension I think would be far to harsh

I nearly lost my mind. Screamed. Thought I was going to throw up. Tears on the verge. I pulled a Joe Gibbs and went the bible route, “God, please no….don’t do this to Joe, to me, to Jason…the team…” Some say I even asked for a sacrifice (Clinton Portis) in stead of JC.

Re: What were you thinking when Jason went down?

welcome Kate, and i agree with gmanc. i think once the steeler guy got off the block, he was starting to lose his balance immediately. to me there was no intent.

Re: What were you thinking when Jason went down?

While I didn't think the hit was intentional or dirty, but the more I see the replay the more I think he could have pulled up. He stumbles initially, but then catches himself and leaps towards Campbell.

Regardless of the intention, it's illegal and it could have changed the course of our entire season.
