The doctor for everett said he has a 5-10% chance of getting full motion back. That sucks, but at least there is a chance. Makes you wish Stem Cell research wasn't cut.

| Re: Everetts injury is pretty bad... ESPN just reported that, as the sedation is wearing off, Everett is able to move his hands and legs. Although he cannot move them normally, which is to be expected, his Dr. is optimistic that Everett will walk again. PS - Thanks jsarno and others who said nice things about me and my injury. I'm 90% back and I pray Everett recovers as well, if not better. |

GOOD NEWS...the doctor announced after releasing his sedation he has movement of his arms and legs and the doctor is certain he will walk again!!! He also said he is confident he will walk out of the hospital!!! EXCELLENT NEWS!

I was talking about this with my father-in-law this evening and doesn't it seem strange that these fluke paralyzation things tend to always happen to guys who are 3rd string or special teamers, while you can have marquee players take a beating for season after season and they rarely get the traumatic injuries like this? The only dude I can think of in recent memory who has had anything like this who was a "name" player was Tedy Bruschi with the stroke, but on-field incidents, I'm drawing a blank... |
