| Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind In light of recent discussions here about playcalling, coaches, etc. what do you think of LJ's comments? After winning huge contract, Larry Johnson can't get going for KC - USATODAY.com

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind This article makes the CP interview I heard today that much more impressive. Larry Johnson just got paid mad money so I think he should pipe down a little bit. I think Herm Edwards knows what he's doing.

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind I really could care less what LJ has to say. Sounds like maybe the KC locker room has the same feeling.

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind I've personally always thought that LJ was an ass. The guy can't keep his mouth shut, has a chip on his shoulder, and is just a jerk. He talks trash about all of his coaches, raps about the owner who just paid him millions, and thinks he is some God. In reality, he's just a punk who can run. |

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind I don't think he said anything particularily offensive ... anyone who watched the Chiefs lose to the Colts last year in the playoffs should understand where he's coming from in saying, if they stack 9 in the box you pass. As for that rap, I thought that was proven to not be him? |

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind The only proof that I heard of was: LJ's denial; LJ's cousin denied it was him; and the producers of the rap denied it was him several days after not denying it. If you listen to it, it sounds exactly like LJ. |

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind He's frustrated right now, who can blame him? I don't think he said anything horrible here. |

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind he has a point.... i actually somewhat agree with him even though i feel players shouldnt speak out like that all the time. especially after signing a big contract. |

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind I am very impressed with how Edwards handled it. But to answer your question, he should shut his mouth. He's not exactly helping his own cause. It's easy to point the blame, but he's averaging only 2.8 yards per carry. That's horrible. If he's pulling off 4.5+ then he can talk.

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind Does it seem like the Chiefs are experiencing almost exactly what the Jets wound up doing under Edwards? Seems like Herman Edwards has sluggish offenses wherever he goes. I think it has to do with a head coach who has a defensive coordinator's mentality -- 'Don't do anything aggressive offensively, just let the defense win the game.' |

| Re: Larry Johnson Speaks His Mind Problem is, it's rare that the "fire" is beneficial. Usually it burns the house down. It's very rare to see a loose lipped player turn around a season. I am wagering they will still lose this week.
