| Re: Samuels Fined For Illegal Block The block was actually NOT illegal. You can engage low at the line of scrimmage, but not while the opposition is engaged with another player. Whilst everyone in the game thinks this type of "chop" block should be illegal, i don't think its currently not legal in the rule books. I remember chickenneck (Collingsworth) saying that was a horrible play, but currently is NOT a foul.
