| Re: It's Firing Season From what I understand STL is keeping Linehan. They don't think there are too many worthy candidates out there, and they had a ton of injuries to key players.

| Re: It's Firing Season Add Wade Phillips to the list if the Cowboys dont win a playoff game. Jason Garrett is going to garner a lot of interest from other teams, and Jerrry Jones is probably looking for a way to get Wade out of the way so he can promote Garrett. Phillips is safe with a deep playoff run, but if he goes one and done...I don't think he will be back.

| Re: It's Firing Season I thought Brian Billick would be on the firing list, but it looks like he's going to stay and just revamp his coaching staff. |

Sort of, he spent five years as a beat writer covering the Redskins for the Washington Times. Here's his NFL story: Quote:

| Re: It's Firing Season Firing your coach is the IN thing when your team has had a terrible season, but I would have to say that most of the coaches that have been mentioned in this thread have terrible starting QBs. In a league that has become so much about quality QB play, most of these coaches would have probably had much better seasons with good QB's. Start naming the bad teams and then think about their QBs and you will see what I mean. Dolphins, Jets, Chiefs, Ravens, etc. Most of these so called lousy coaches just need a good QB. Imagine the Bears with McNabb or the Vikings with Brad Johnson? Just a thought. Gibbs looks like a genius with Collins. |

| Re: It's Firing Season i agree. a so called offensive genius in Minn., biilick cant spell offense in Baltimore. and who ever took Boller in the draft should be fired immediately. he reminds me of when Pat Riley left the show time lakers and went to the knicks. whatever the style the knicks played was anything but showtime. more like lets beat them up basketball
