| What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? I think we have to give JB some major props in keeping the offensive line from completely crumbling. With all the injuries we have had up front, I'm surprised we've had any type of running game or upright QB. While the line is far, far from being "hog" worthy, Buges has managed to get these guys playing well enough to allow Todd Collins time to throw the ball and to open some decent holes for Clinton Portis. Like a few others here, I was about ready to give Buges the boot, but I think it's seasons like this one that makes you realize guys like Gibbs and Bugel are still proven winners in the NFL.

| Re: What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? 100% agree, he deserves credit. I mean who'd have thunk Fabini, Heyer, and Alexander would be playing as much as they have at such a critical time for us. And playing well. Also, I didn't know until this weekend that Buges has been dealing with his middle daughter (not sure how old she is) battling cancer (apparently I hear it's pretty bad) this year as well.

![]() In all seriousness, I didn't hear about Buges daughter. My prayers go out to his family. I think the best example of why Buges deserves credit for the o-line is Stephon Heyer. That guy came out of nowhere and now has a future in the NFL. | |

| Re: What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? Yeah I'd be surprised if he isn't, cutting him will save us $700K on the cap. Cutting a guy who blows while saving space at the same time? I'll take it. |

| Re: What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? I think the problem with Wade has been that he simply isn't good enough in run blocking to be a starter. He is probably a pretty decent backup and spot starter but in the end he just didn't get the job done for us. I am surprised because I expected him to be solid for us. Bugel has again shown why he is so regarded as a line coach. The guy is just good. |

| Re: What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? With out a doubt Bugel deserves a ton credit for the run we made in Dec. The O line is playing great right now and a huge reason for that is the great job Bugel has done coaching.

| Re: What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? Buges is the unsung hero of this year's coaching staff. He has the reserves on the right side playing like starting quality O-linemen. We never would have made this playoff run without his patchwork unit. |

| Re: What about Joe Bugel? The offensive line? My apologies to Joe Bugel for suggesting he retire. I read somewhere that he is also dealing with his daughter fighting cancer, my prayers are with him and his family.
