With that said. Here is my response.

Mr. McGrath-

I think that the only person guilty of exploiting Sean Taylor's death at this point is you. The Washington Redskins have suffered a devastating loss that, although felt deeply amongst the entire Redskin community, only his teammates can truly feel as they face his empty locker on a daily basis. The Washington Redskins are honoring Taylor by placing him on the depth chart, there is no trickery here. They are mourning Taylor the only way they know how -- playing their hearts out for him. Was Taylor's father exploiting him when he asked the team to make it to the playoffs for Sean? Have Portis' end zone wings for Taylor been just a ploy for attention? I think everyone knows the answer to both of these is no.

Your article disgusts me. You wish to kick dirt in the face of players and coaching staff playing for something bigger then this game. You were correct about one thing. Sean Taylor was not lucky or charmed. He was one incredible football talent that was taken from us too soon. I will shed a tear as the redskins take the Quest field just as I have every game since Sean Taylor's passing.
Nicely done! I too get choked up as well every time I watch the skins.

Cowboys fans seem to be the most understanding during these times. Kudos to them.

I think the Ron Springs story is behind it, but I'm happy 'Boys fans have been as classy as ever in giving our squad support, rivalry be damned. it's bigger than the game and their fans have shown that to our family.

What an asshole! I just left him a pretty nasty message on his voice mail letting him know that by writing an article like that was exploiting Sean’s death in more way's the anything the Redskins have done.
I think the dog shit I scraped of my shoe this morning has done more for the world then this jerk.

Here was my post on the website

Wow. I hope your ass gets fired or even worse happens to you and when you need someone or something to inspire you its not there. Skins fan or not this article was uncalled for and to even think about the redskins are doing things for profit. All profits are donated and I hope that the owner of the Seahawks is repulsed by your fucking article and has something done. If he has just an ounce of class like Mr. Snyder does he would. Win or Lose Taylor is Gone and your still an ASSHOLE. Asshole has 7 letters time 3 (Gibbs Superbowls) = 21 WOW!!!!

I don't know, I guess I wouldn't let it bother me too much. But, in reality, I didn't even read the News Tribune article.

Come on, I find that hard to believe. What if it was someone that you respected as a person? What if it wasn't a football player? They die and then someone comes along and basically says, "They're dead. Get over it."

You can't say you wouldn't choke the life out of them? At least I would. It's just a thing of being respectful.

I just got finished taking a class on death and dying and the worse thing a person can do is tell someone to just get over it. Mourning is an ongoing process and its not a thing that it's just one day you wake up and it's all okay again. If this is what the Redskins organization has to do to grieve as a team then that's their way and no one has the right to tell them whether it's right or wrong. In fact I think it's probably more healthy that they all honor his memory in this way rather than facing it alone and then having to stuff it all down and pack it away when they're together as a team to "focus". Instead they use all that emotion and focus it into the game. I feel the Skins have handled this whole situation brilliantly.

You should use as an example someone who is important to the Seahawks and who is an elite player, like...

Re: Redskins Exploiting Sean's Death?

How is he an authority on appropriately mourning the loss of a teammate? This is the first in-season death of an NFL player in nearly 40 years. Not to mention that Taylor was arguably the best player on the team. This writer is a freakin' tool.
