| Re: Redskins Exploiting Sean's Death? Just to counter the negative article regarding Sean, here's a very well written and heartfelt blog entry by Lindsay Czarniak sharing her experience in covering the Sean Taylor tragedy. "From Sean Taylor to Seattle" I haven’t found it easy to write about covering the tragedy of Sean Taylor’s death because I didn’t know Sean as well as his teammates. And, honestly, there have been times over the past four weeks I’ve felt bad because the nature of my work forces me to ask people about Sean, and I know that it will conjure up emotions of a tragedy they are trying to overcome. Right now, I am 35,000 feet about a snow-covered patchwork of ground on my way to Seattle for the Redskins playoff game. And because Sean's death has had such an impact, I want to share what I’ve seen this past month. Even if the Redskins' run ends Saturday night, this has been the most shocking, emotional story I have ever covered. nbc4.com - Redskins Blog |

| Re: Redskins Exploiting Sean's Death? I agree, and the writer has no true knowledge as he has no association with the Redskins or the fans in this area, a true outsider, who in all honesty in my opinion sounds fairly immune to human loss and pain associated with such. I think his article is purposely caustic and unnecessary and classless. IMO I personally placed little stock in the shallow things written by the writer who has conviently mentioned his opinion during the same week that the Redskins are playing the Seahawks. It sounds like, as a fan of the Seahawks, and writer for the local paper, he has a vested interest in the outcome, using almost a reverse psychology in trying to sound like there was something wrong with our Redskins trying to achieve something special for their beloved teammate, as that is what he would have wanted. I am somewhat disappointed, though I can't be because it is one person from that area and simply an opinion expressed. To me, it is simply sad. |

| Re: Redskins Exploiting Sean's Death? I've found your comments on this thread to be way out of line. It has been less than six weeks since Sean was murdered. It seems to me you are a young person who has not experienced much death close to you or you are as ignorant toward the subject of the thread that your posts indicate. Either way I have some pitty for you and your mental state but not enough to ask the Mods for a suspension from the message board. How about it Moderators?

| Re: Redskins Exploiting Sean's Death? I guess there's nothing about the Seahawks worth writing about. Some people are discomfited by talk of angels, spirits, the supernatural, etc. They seem to lack the tolerance to let other people believe what they want. So what if the Redskins believe Taylor is helping them? Why should that bother someone in Seattle? And in what way is it exploitative? This guy just wants everyone to take the same grim view of life and death that he does.

| Re: Redskins Exploiting Sean's Death? I thought Collinsworth (who I despise) epitomized it perfectly. He said that the Skins believe that ST is playing with them on the field, and that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, because he was their teammate and this is their belief. No other team in sports history that I know have has lost its best player mid-season. I'll trust the team to decide how to honor the memory of their fallen teammate.
