| Re: Bernard Berrian I would pick him over Porter but I don't know that either are the #1 WR the skins need. They need a guy who can be what Plax is to Eli and what TO is to Romo. The skins already have a couple WR's on the level of Berrian & Porter. I would consider Berrian though if the price is to high on CJ or Williams.

Chad Johnson - who the Bengals won't trade and if they do trade are going to cost the Redskins two arms and two legs to get him. And I don't see that happening. Larry Fitzgerald - If the Cardinals screw this up and release him, this would be a MUCH better option than CJ, since we wouldn't have to give up any picks.

Why not Roy Williams of the Lions. The Lions are willing to trade him and is a Team player unlike Chad Johnson!

Re: Bernard Berrian Personally I'm tired of the FA route for WR's. I mean we have Moss, ARE and LLoyd. All of them are making good $ and outside of Moss' 05 year the production hasn't been there. Berrian is a speed guy who is a good WR but he is going to want a lot of $. Will his production add up to what he's going to demand? Probably not.

Re: Bernard Berrian I agree. But we all know DS is going to break the bank to get Chad Johnson. The only way we don't get Johnson is if the Bengals stick to their guns and don't trade him. If that happens I doubt DS will settle for Berrian or Porter and will go after the next available big name target....Roy Williams. If he's going to give up that much I'd rather have Williams than Johnson.

Re: Bernard Berrian me personally, I would rather keep who we have at WR giving Anthony Mix a shot at WR, and drafting a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round and use what ever cap space we have a signing a corner or LB. We have Lloyd, who I know people are down on, but given his success in the west coast at SF and the new regime things may be different with him. He would be on the field more consistantly instead of his one play every 10-15. Thrash should be back, Caldwell maybe. I just think we have some more pressing needs with the health of Carlos and Rocky up in the air. Defense is what wins championships, Giants most recently proven this. I think Moss and Randel El are a pretty decent tandem, and who knows what this Mix kid would bring. Big, Stong, and reasonably fast gives that big target the staff apparently desires. Plus you have cooley that lines up in the slot more in a west coast style. another thing to consider is Portis will be more in the field receiving more than he has been. No doubt I think chad is great receiver, but overall i just dont see the need in giving him 50-60+million.

Re: Bernard Berrian Berrian over CJ all day, I thought CJ was becoming out of the picture anyway. But i will gladly take briggs and berrian from the bears. I hope Rocky gets back to the way he was playing and remains the starter. He was really starting to impress me, bad break for the guy

Re: Bernard Berrian I agree about giving Anthony Mix a shot. He's a big kid and was a monster on special teams. Also like the idea of drafting a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Re: Bernard Berrian I hope the Bengals hold on to Johnson we don't need his baggage....but keep an eye on Willliams and Fitzgerald. DS wants a big time receiver and Williams fits the bill and the Cardinals may bite at DS willingness to trade draft picks.

Re: Bernard Berrian I CANT MAKE THREADS so someone make it for me...Did anyone see on espn.com realigning the stars article...one of the stars mentioned is Antwann Randle El and possibly cutting/trading him to free up cap space and possibly with intention of doing so to bring in Chad Johnson. I honeslty feel Randle El is overpaid. He was supposed to boost the return game but didnt do so, and he only has a hand full of touchdown catches in his tenure in washington. ANY THOUGHTS?

Re: Bernard Berrian I think BLloyd needs to start thinking about the CFL. Face the music people he was a dud in San Fran. All the bloggers told us so. The admitted that he caught a few good passes but not for what they thought they were getting. We kept saying oh we will make something of him. lol. Between injuries and not playing better then the younger WR we had he seemed to not make it or cut it. Time to cut our ties that bind us. Don't say it was AL's system cause he couldn't make it in San Fran in the WC offense either. Hopefully we will have Moss, Mix, Espy, Randel El, Cooley and if I'm correct Portis who will be if not running the ball catching it out of the back field. Any additions should be a #1 type of possession WR. I like Randel El but quickly got tired of his east/west running instead of his north south. He was pretty reliable in the short yardage downs and out routes.
