Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged ESPN - Seahawks put the franchise tag on cornerback Trufant - NFL Marcus Trufant was franchised and I was hoping he wouldn't with Zorn being from Seattle I feel it would have been here. But I still feel he will lurk Hackett over.

Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged We do have Springs and Smoot healthy. We don't have to get a CB thru FA this year. We also have some decent backups. No Trufant no problem.

Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged I catch your drift but how long will they be healthy? I don't want to see Eubanks & Torrence have to be depended on in 08.

| Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged while i agree with you that we need a db, i personally think Trufant is highly over rated. im glad he isn't coming here

Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged DeAngelo Hall wants out of Atlanta. Anyone interested? Word is the Giants are pondering giving up their first round draft pick to get him?

Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged Cool, another guy we can cross off the list. Trufant is tough, but I didn't want to see us pay the $18-20 mil guaranteed that he's gonna want. DeAngelo Hall is a prima donna who is capable of shutting his team down as much as any wr. Florence sounds like a decent fa pickup, if not too costly that is. I could see something on par w/Smoot's deal last year. If he wants a lot more let him go.

Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged I don't like Hall. He's a headcase. Always getting 15 yard PF's. I think we're OK at corner. I'd rather get a pass rusher and keep the draft pick.

Re: Dreams Shattered Again Trufant Tagged I guess I should have stated that i do like Springs and Smoot as starters. Rogers may not be ready for the start of the season, but hopefully will be in there soon enough. Torrence actually played pretty well last year and Macklin has started before too. I agree hopefully we don't have to see our backups starting but that goes for the oline, dline, lb's. Springs only will be w/ the team one more year, so we do have some time. Trufant would require alot of $. So, I think our CB situation isn't too bad...depending on when Rogers will be healthy.
