| *Rumor* about Shawne Merriman getting busted *RUMOR* How will Merriman's pending suspension change our draft plans? - Bolt Talk Charger Fan Forum Take it for what it's worth. If this turns out to be nothing more than a stupid rumor created by nobody than my apologies, but I figured this could be something really interesting. Merriman getting busted again and being suspended the entire year? Do you think the Chargers would even invite him back to the team knowing that he's a two time cheater? As the old saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. |

If it is true, we now know why the Skins went with Carlos back in 05, because Vinnie knew this was going to happen. |

| Re: *Rumor* about Shawne Merriman getting busted There had been a rumor almost a month ago that multiple Chargers tested positive for ecstasy (or maybe coke, I forget actually). I never really believed it though. Merriman was one of the rumored names. That's as much as I know.

side note: i was taking the red eye from SD to DC for thanksgiving a few years ago and shawn and some boys where trying to get on the plane but the jetblue guy didnt recognize him and was giving him crap. to shawn's credit he played it cool, didnt throw a fit and waited till someone came and cleared up the problem. in real life he is smaller than he looks on the field, of course this was after his roids suspension so . . . | |

'By the same token though, I woulnd't be surprised to see this as just another internet rumor. The funny thing though is that if it's true, then the fan base will be going from a Rogers-Merriman debate to a Rogers-Ware debate. Also found this. Aparrently Merriman knows how to throw a birthday party.....and pasty white guys in the pool.
