| Who would you trade for? If we can find a trade partner for the 21st pick, among the rumored available or not so available players and within reason of additional picks who would you want in return? (mods please create a poll) Chad Johnson Roy Williams Anquan Boldin Jason Taylor Julius Peppers Additional 2nd round picks Nobody, we need to focus on drafting

| Re: Who would you trade for? I don't know that any of those players will eventually get dealt. Assuming one of the reasons the Skins need a big WR is to boost Red Zone scoring it might be worth looking at their effectiveness inside their opponents 20 yard line. All are pretty effective. Chad Johnson has been a much bigger Red Zone scoring threat than I think many would assume, especially since he is "only" 6-1 (so is Boldin). C. Johnson (stats from opp. 19-1) - turns 31 in January 2009 2004 - 13, 94 yds, 5 tds 2005 - 9, 96 yds, 4 tds 2006 - 6, 50 yds, 3 tds 2007 - 8, 50 yds, 5 tds A. Boldin (stats from opp. 19-1) - turns 28 in Oct. 2008 2004 - 2, 16 yds, 0 tds 2005 - 6, 50 yds, 1 td 2006 - 6, 66 yds, 2 tds 2007 - 9, 53 yds, 6 tds R. Williams (stats from opp. 19-1) - turns 27 in Dec. 2008 2004 - N/A 2005 - 6, 45 yds, 4 tds 2006 - 5, 49 yds, 2 tds 2007 - 7, 49 yds, 4 tds

| Re: Who would you trade for? i'd go after none of them and draft james hardy a6-6 wr from indiana.he could really make an impact this year if he's given the chance.hardy, moss, and randall el could really be hard to cover when they are all in the game during the same plays. |

but if I had to pick a trade... I like Roy Williams.... seems like the safest trade value IMHO All of this would have to happen under a transaction where we were not giving up the world for just the big threat we are convinced we need

| Re: Who would you trade for? I'd trade down to pick up some more 2nd round picks. This draft is fairly deep at OL and DL two places that the Redskins need to get younger. By pick 21 the stud OL and DL players will be gone. Receiver is the only other position to take at 21 and there is not much difference in the top 4 or 5 receivers, so you know someone would be available in the 2nd. |

| Re: Who would you trade for? eh, my mind is still on the fence, because in a great scenario, we could pull of the draft of the decade if we traded down for more 2nd rounders and got some of the falling talent we really need....

| Re: Who would you trade for? I'd probably go for Peppers. He's coming off his poorest season, and will be hungry to establish himself as a premier player again. The fact that he can play the run and the pass equally well would make him an ideal replacement for Philip Daniels. |

| Re: Who would you trade for? For the record, I would say additional picks. Michael Lombardi suggested - in passing - that depending how things fall teams might be looking to move up into the low-20's to pick a quarterback, particularly Henne, especially if the Falcons take Ryan at 3. Interesting read about some of the things that go in a 'war room'. Michael Lombardi: If I called the shots on draft day - SI.com - 2008 NFL Draft Real dream scenario, I'd think, would be that Atlanta passes on Ryan but somehow becomes convinced that the real QB they want won't be there at 34 (not sure how realistic that is, it would mean that they rated Henne - probably - much higher than Flacco or Brohm). The the Redskins would trade picks 21 and 84 for picks 34 and 48. It just so happens that such a trade works out EXACTLY by the draft value chart. Pretty sweet (just not sure how realistic it is ... but I think we have to be rooting for Long/Gholston at #2 and Dorsey at #3 to at least have a shot). 21 = 800 84 = 170 34 = 550 48 = 420

| Re: Who would you trade for? I'd throw out the ends straight away. One is old and the other is potentially over rated. From the WRs I have always been a Roy Williams fan and with him being the youngest I'd go with him. But I am tempted by the extra 2nds. Depending on what we got I think we could build some long term depth if we were ti get say 3 out of it. Maybe a 2 and 3 this year and a 2 for next next year.

| Re: Who would you trade for? I'm inclined to say Boldin, but I'l go with 2nd round picks. Then again I'm really on a Merling/Nelson/Best Available O-Lineman kick. Also you guys can make fun of me if I'm wrong and I know I've been saying this a lot lately but I really think the team will take Merling at 21 and then trade up with the Jets to ensure they get Jordy Nelson.
