| Devin Thomas (Clark Judge article) ASHBURN, Va. -- Shortly after completing his first practice as Washington's head coach, Jim Zorn was asked what he thought of his rookie wide receivers. He basically gave them two thumbs-up, though he emphasized they must learn to be patient. Yeah, well, try selling that to Michigan State's Devin Thomas. |

| Re: Devin Thomas (Clark Judge article) What number is Thomas going to wear for the regular season? I went past a Pro Image today at the Mall and saw a Thomas jersey with the number 11 on it. It'd be weird if they were selling his practice jersey, right?

| Re: Devin Thomas (Clark Judge article) Good to know that we got good value on the pick by taking this kid. I still don't know how the dynamics of our receiving corps is going to work. Will Santana (especially), ARE, and Cooley take the role of teacher-mentors? Or will they see the newcomers as competition? I am especially worried about Moss' situation with the team now. If these rookies can show that they deserve touches, I think Santana could see them as a threat. He is not above lashing out and I could see some locker room chemistry being upset there. For some reason of all of our existing receivers, I think Moss more than anyone is on the hot seat to perform. We'll see...

But if he's healthy he's still our best deep threat for sure. I think Devin Thomas and to a lesser extent Kelly will both have a big impact on our passing game right away, but WR's almost always take some time to get adjusted to the NFL. I see Moss remaining the #1 option at WR all season. Hell, having guys like Kelly and Thomas around could help Moss short-term since it will be almost impossible to double team him. We're a pass-first offense now. If a 35 year old Bobby friggin Engram can catch 94 balls in this offense so can Santana.

| Re: Devin Thomas (Clark Judge article) Moss looked very un-Mosslike until the end of the year. He definitely cost us the GB game. The INT and the fumble for a TD were painful. I can't believe how many games we narrowly lost. We easily could have been 11-5. |
