ESPN - No more Pacman? Embattled Cowboys CB Jones drops nickname - NFL Nothing like people connected to the Las vegas incident turning up dead from a "fall" and a defaulting on a million dollar + mortgage.

| Re: Javon Walker found Unconcious, Robbed in streets of Las Vegas Well I just got back from a week in Vegas and I was on the strip the night Walker was attacked. Did not see anything, as I was partying pretty hard myself at the Jet club in the Mirage Hotel. But the local news was on the story every night I was there and all I can say is Walker was beaten pretty badly. When found, one of Walkers eyes was not in the socket and the eye socket was crushed. I know the Raiders are hopeful he is ready for training camp, but I do not know how his vision is going to be. Also FYI, I checked all the major sports books on the strip while I was in Vegas last week, and there is a love fest with the Patriots again. They have New England as 17/5 for the Super Bowl. Then San Diego and Dallas are tied at 11/2 behind New England. The Falcons are the odds-makers bottom dwellers at 250/1 And, yeah, I had to check on the 'Skins too. They came in at 50/1 at all or most of the books. |

| Re: Javon Walker found Unconcious, Robbed in streets of Las Vegas From PFT: MORE IRONY IN JAVON MESS Posted by Mike Florio on June 25, 2008, 6:20 p.m. EDT In addition to the fact that, on the weekend that ended with Raiders receiver Javon Walker unconscious in a Las Vegas street, he was engaged in the same champagne-related activity that arguably was the first domino to fall in the chain of events that resulted in the death of Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, there’s another piece of Williams-related irony in one of the more bizarre offseason tales we’ve ever heard. Walker could have avoided the entire situation in Vegas, if he had merely opted to attend the first ever fundraising gala and parade hosted by the Darrent Williams Foundation. Williams’ mother had asked Walker to be there, and Walker had said he was busy.
