| Chris Samuels has minor surgery on elbow MINOR SURGERY FOR SAMUELS Posted by Mike Florio on June 18, 2008, 5:50 p.m. A couple members of PFT Planet have reported that they spotted Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels entering a D.C.-area hospital this week, so we put on our “real journalist” fedora (we even stuck in the ribbon a big card that says “PRESS”) and started to do some sleuthing. We’ve learned, via a league source, that Samuels had surgery on Monday to clean out some loose particles in his elbow. He’s expected to resume lifting weights next week. Now, excuse me while I go clear a spot on the mantle for the Pulitzer.

But being it's Wednesday and the surgery apparently took place on Monday I'm surprised the word had not got out any sooner (being he is our pro bowl tackle) and who the source is that is finally reporting the news is some what of a surprise, to a degree. I would have expected the Insider to get down wind of this OR the Times.

They report cutting camp fodder, are you kidding. This is a pro bowl tackle for the skins.....I would have to guess and say they didn't have a clue as to what was taking place. The media loves making big deals over any issue big or small, especially this time of year and not to mention a pro bowl OT we are talking about.

| Re: Chris Samuels has minor surgery on elbow Someone once said that the only "minor surgery" is a procedure performed on someone else. Since I'm not Chris Samuels, that means I can think of this as minor surgery.
