Redskins rebuilding for one year

I like the idea that we'll be awesom in 2009 when Jason Campbell learns the system. I pretty much agreed with this season preview, though I think we'll be 9-7 or 10-6.

3 things I disagreed with:

1. Demetrick Evans won't get the PT they say he will
2. Cornelius Griffin doesn't suck!
3. Campbell played in a similar system at Auburn and they didn't mention this

I enjoy reading WalterFootball.com for their mock drafts, mainly because their mock draft goes more rounds than most other mocks from the get to, and I find some of their choices entertaining. They certainly take leaps with their predictions.

Re: Redskins rebuilding for one year

the skins drafted colt brennan with a 6th round pick, so that automatically gives them a C for their draft?

this guys is f'ing retarded... if we blew that pick on a bag of chips we would have gotten a better score? seriously? well, at least you can't call him objective.

Re: Redskins rebuilding for one year

This article, blog or whathaveyou IMO lacks the inside story on personnel especially but other aspects of the team as well. It harps on SS for missing OTAs when most Skins fans know it is because he is training (probably very hard) like he did prior to the '07 campaign. His emphasis on stretching and fitness helped him stay healthier than in previous years so it should be seen as a good thing IMO.

The piece also points out weakness at secondary, LB and d-line. LB seems like the only pressing issue here to me. Our secondary should thrive if Blache keeps LL at free safety to keep the picks coming. Springs, Smooty, Torrence and should be just fine w/ some rookie help until Rogers can compete again. And the d-line will be better this year than in '07 (my own prediction).

One thing I can't argue w/ is the difficulty JC could have w/ another new offense. It's unfair to any QB, but especially for a kid the franchise wants for its cornerstone. My biggest hope for '08 is JC's success under Zorn's tutelage.
