Re: Cooley's 2008 Beard Growing Contest

This guy is the greatest. If I could grow a beard, I would defintley participate....but I cant. I tried to grow a "playoff beard" for the Seattle game and I got a little stubble, but that was about it.

Re: Cooley's 2008 Beard Growing Contest

That's awesome. A few of my friends and I decided to do a bread growing contest and it turned out to be pretty fun. Most of my friends went about 5 months without shaving until they just couldn't take it any longer, and I pulled out the win going 7 months. Man did we have some beastly beards.

I'd be down for this if it was in the late fall or winter. It's just too damn warm right now for a beard.

Beards are for married people like Cooley. Single people like me have to stay fresh to death.

Re: Cooley's 2008 Beard Growing Contest

I'd totally do this but my beard doesn't grow that fast, I actually grew a beard out for like 2 months but it didn't work, it made me look kinda homeless and I wasn't good at trimming it. I ain't gonna enter this, I'm sure there are other people that would be able to do this kinda thing lol.

Re: Cooley's 2008 Beard Growing Contest

God, I wish I could grow a beard.

I can just grow that semi-opaque unhygienic-looking half beard with inconsistent hair patches everywhere. I just end up looking like I should be working at the county fair or something. It's depressing.

What makes it worse (this is probably the most random story I've ever told w/in a thread) is that one day in confession many years ago, my crazy long bearded priest asked me what I wanted for Christmas that year. It was probably the middle of June and he was probably going senile, so I simply blurted off, "Nintendo 64" or something like that.

He then looked at me and said, "No, You want a beard for Christmas."

I laughed it off at the time... but now I seriously do want a beard for Christmas, or at least some wicked handlebars.

Re: Cooley's 2008 Beard Growing Contest

Random observation...........

Last night, I watched an interview with Cooley on redskins.com in which he discussed the beard growing contest. I then watched Generation Kill on HBO. Cooley talks just like the guy who drives the humvee and wears those Elvis sunglasses. They both are constantly cracking jokes, speak pretty fast, and their pitch/tone is
remarkably similar. End random thoughts.
