| Re: Devin Thomas Injured I guess with the repetitiveness of injuries, makes you wonder if the conditioning staff is missing something. I mean look at St. Louis and how f'ed up their season was mostly b/c of injuries.

| Re: Devin Thomas Injured Our training & conditioning staff sucks....we've got more hamstring pulls and injuries than any other team in the NFL! OR Maybe we're the only ones hitting the news because we started camp before everyone else. Most teams don't start up until tomorrow and it's HOT out there. Maybe the training staff would be kind enough to prescribe some Valiums for the "sky's falling crowd".

| Re: Devin Thomas Injured As far as Devin Thomas is concerned it's not that big a deal. I mean I know a lot of people around here want him to be ready from day 1, but the reality is that Moss, ARE, and Thrash are probably going to be the top 3 WR's on opening night so to me it's not much of an issue so long as it doesn't end up being chronic. If it happened next year then I'd be really worried, but the truth is that Kelly and Thomas are probably going to be brought along slowly and even more ironic is that of the three "pass catchers" Davis might see the most playing time, at least during the first half of the year. Also Mix and Kelly seem to be doing pretty good so it's not like we'll be without big bodies for Campbell to throw to.

| Re: Devin Thomas Injured I see your point, but when you're top rookie is going to miss 2 weeks of camp, it's threadworthy.

| Re: Devin Thomas Injured Quote:
HOpefully he & Kelly or Mix will be able to earn some pt by week 1, but like you said they may see little time at first. that's gonna be a competitive spot in camp. | |

| Re: Devin Thomas Injured Speaking of injuries I'm kind of glad now that we didn't reach for DeMario Pressley on draft day. Looks like the durability concerns were valid. Then again you could argue that the circumstances leading up to the injury including getting drafted by the Saints could have produced that exact moment were DeMario was lost for the year. Just like one could argue that maybe not drafting a DE caused Daniels to play a certain way on that first play that led to his injury, or if the Redskins hadn't called that one play during the Dolphins game that injured Jansen then he would have never missed the entire 2007 season. Or maybe Anthony Montgomery's broken hand could have been prevented by having a shorter coaching search. Either way you never know. ESPN - Fractured right foot to keep Saints' Pressley out for year - NFL Also for the sake of entertaining myself I've decided to make a list of players who have experienced some sort of injury this camp. This is off the top of my head. Santana Moss Philip Daniels Alex Buzbee Laron Landry Stuart Schwiegert Chris Samuals HB Blades Devin Thomas Malcolm Kelly Jason Campbell Fred Smoot Clinton Portis Ladell Betts Antwaan Randle-El Man even though that list is shorter then I anticipated and most of them are minor I still say that it's a scary list. Also forgot from not off the top of my head Anthony Montgomery Carlos Rogers Erasmus James Rocky McIntosh Kareem Moore Chris Wilson Rian Wallace Anthony Mix Eric Shelton Damn, FIRE TYLER rofl.
