Since the preseason games are auditions for rookies, do you think it's possible somebody on the coaching staff really likes Horton and put him in a special position to make a name for himself? | Re: Schweigert released... Wow! I never saw this coming. Schweigert looked really bad last night, but I can't help but think that we jumped the gun alittle bit on this one. It's not like we replaced Schweigert with someone better, we replaced him with Patrick Ghee, a guy we cut earlier this season. If this means that Horton and Moore are impressing and are going to make the team than I am all for it, but if not it's strange that we would release a vet at a position that we have very little depth at. I can't help but to think that there was something going on behind the scenes with Schweigert that they aren't letting get out. |

| Re: Schweigert released... Relax with the conspiracy theories -- it's just Stewart Schweigert. I'd say there is nothing going on behind the scenes, which is exactly why Schweigert was cut -- he stunk last night, and he's probably stunk in practice too. So, the coaches cut him.

Let me throw this out there right now. This year is possibly Blache's last season. I wonder if Dwayne Walker will leave UCLA and come back to the Skins as the new D Coordinator. Just a thought. | |
