| Schweigert released... Wow. Stuart Schweigert must have made quite an impression in the game film from last night. Apparently, he was badly out of position on one of the Colt touchdowns. Surprising for a guy with 42 starts. Redskins Insider |

| Re: Schweigert released... No way. I mean I know he struggled last night but released? Wow, I guess that makes my boy Doughty the unquestioned starter but I guess that Horton made quite an impression last night. Plus they might have been looking to carrry more players at other positions like DE and CB after strong performances from Richardson and Jackson. Also did Horton play FS last night? I was under the impression that he was being used at SS but I didn't really pay attention. Didn't help that the camera angle was really close but I think that was a product of playing in such a small stadium.

| Re: Schweigert released... It's on the ticker at the bottom of the screen on NFLN. Also another ticker on there said we released Danny Verdun-Wheeler and we signed Pete Schmitt and another guy. As for Stuart, too bad. I wasn't expecting him to be anything more than depth anyways, idk where everybody was getting this whole "he expects to compete for the starting job" idea anyway. I know he had a lot of starts but in Oakland he wasn't that impressive of a player anyway. I'm curious to see Kareem Moore in action, I want him to make an impact and earn a roster spot this season. |

| Re: Schweigert released... I apologize, just saw the redskins insider link...WOW! Surprising, but not surprising. I mean if the Raiders cut him last year...he couldn't have been that good! Plus, I think they really like Horton and Moore. Let's just hope that LaRon does have a serious injury this year because we would be really thin at safety. |

| Re: Schweigert released... Wow, a bit surprised about that...although, wasn't Schweigert supposed to be Landry's back up, and not competing with Doughty? I hope Horton continues to develop and would like to see what Kareem Moore has to show.
