| Brandon Moore ILB SF Brandon Moore ILB for the 49ers just got released, he was the leading tackler for them during the 2006 before Patrick Willis. I've watched him and he's pretty solid, I wonder if the Skins will take a look at him with our injury situation at LB. The 49ers cut him in order to sign Takeo Spikes.

| Re: Brandon Moore ILB SF Someone will. He's pretty good, and we need LB depth, so this would be a move that makes sense. Of course, this is a surprise cut, so the Niners must have had some reason to cut him loose as opposed to someone else.

| Re: Brandon Moore ILB SF I'm going to miss these threads once the regular season begins ![]() Seriously though, I really hope the team is looking at this guy. Blades is hurt and with Rocky still recovering, we could really use some depth.

| Re: Brandon Moore ILB SF Scouts, Inc. Report on Moore Grade: 62 | Key Alert: None Comment: Moore has adequate size to play the linebacker position and he has the versatility to play inside as well as outside and he appears to be a good fit for the outside linebacker spot in the three four defense. He has good foot quickness and good running ability and he is fairly smooth in his hip turn. He shows that he has good range and he has decent body control and change of direction skills. He has great upper body strength and he has good hand placement and he does a good job of getting under the offensive mans pads and striking and getting separation. He uses his hands well to dis engage from blocks on the edge however he has difficulty playing through traffic to the ball. He is better when he can play on a man and when he knows where pressure is coming from. He shows good acceleration to the ball and he goes to the ball aggressively and he is a good strong tackler who clubs up with his arms. He lacks pass rush technique and when he puts his hand down to come off the edge he lacks the stature to pass rush effectively versus an offensive tackle. He does not have good play recognition and he lacks the natural instincts for the position. He needs to become more consistent in his play recognition and get a better feel for the outside and what the position demands. He is a very good competitor on special teams.

| Re: Brandon Moore ILB SF My dad is a 49ers fan, and I watched Brandon play the last few seasons and I always thought he was a decent LB, but he might be better suited for a 3-4 defense. However we are in some desperate need for LB depth and it wouldn't hurt to bring him in to see what he can do. |

| Re: Brandon Moore ILB SF Letting Lemar Marshall go is seeming more and more like a boneheaded move. Not only do we need depth, but we need it at all 3 LB positions. If we still had Lemar we would have a player that could play all 3 positions. He is not on any team, but I do not know what his status is. Is he hurt or something? Disclaimer: In no way do I think that he is some sort of "savior", I just think that if healthy he could provide much needed experience and depth.

Seriously though, I would love to see him back here if he's recovered to the point that he could play. He'd have to play spec. teams though. | |

| Re: Brandon Moore ILB SF Actually he filled in well for 2 years, and then his play fell off bit in 2006. If Lemar was healthy I wouldn't mind giving him a look, he knows the system and can fill in at WLB and MLB. |
