| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! Giants sign McDougal and Patriots sign Oneal. We are serious dragging our feet. Iguess we are not making any moves. We should ATLEAST pick up a linebacker. Dammit

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! I say replace Fabini with Forney, this guy is a tough nosed guard the kind Bugel loves and younger.

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! Is this the same Deltha O'neal that was recently cut from one of the worst defenses in the league? And we're pissed about losing out on him? Folks, I know Tryon is looking like a reach and a bust - but Deltha is a PROVEN reach and bust. Cry no tears, my bet is he doesn't last the season with the Patriots.

I did think that guys like O'Neal and McDougle were worth looking at, but in the end they weren't guys that were going to make or break our chances this year. | |

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! Not so disappointed signing one of them as in Tryon. But we must do something at LB..I hope..If anyone is worth it out there. If not then we should stay put..Just because someone is cut doesn't mean they aren't good..might be a numbers game or someone stepped up (we've seen that on our own team)..I just hope that Tryon pans out..from what I see it doesn't look like it.. I hope I am wrong..

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! Well I don't think anyone was looking for O'Neal to be our #1 CB, I mean he would have been added just for depth. Basically anyone that gets picked up from cuts is not someone who's going to be the #1 player in another team.

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! That was my point also. If we did sign a veteran cb to a 2 year contract to take Tryons placein the depth chart or higher..We could have kept Tryon on the PS until he improves. If he doesn't improve we can get a CB next year and still have a year to develop him if he isn't showing potential his rookie year.

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! Redskin Insider: Posted at 8:47 PM ET, 09/ 1/2008 Skins Not In Foxworth Hunt Got a bunch of emails on this through the day and evening so figured I'd just put it out there. The Skins are not pursuing Dominique Foxworth, the Denver CB who is a Baltimore native and went to Maryland. The Broncos are shopping him, and given his roots I got a lot of questions on it, but multiple sources with knowledge of the situation said the Skins are not in the mix for him. If anything, if the Skins were looking to beef up at corner I'd have signed Ricky Manning JR. as a free agent rather than deal more picks

| Re: Good Pick Ups from Cuts!! Im good with not signing these guys...we have three great cbs..people forget that. and torrence has proven to be an apt backup. Tryon...needs time, but he will get there. He just needs to figure out how to play those bigger guys while giving up so much size...but there were times on certain plays i saw him cover like glue. Lb depth is a possiblility...but is there anyone out there that really makes us better? Not really. The only person i saw that might have been worth shopping was mcdougle. But man we are stacked on dline. There is no sense. Lets be happy with what we got and if it doesnt work out we can cry "its a rebuilding year"!!!! |
