welcome to the NFL, Julius Jones from Fanball.com The News Cowboys running back Julius Jones felt a little gassed during Monday night's preseason game, and as he's likely been taught in the past, the rookie tapped his helmet as a sign that he needed a breather. Unfortunately, that's a no-no in head coach Bill Parcells' world. The coach told the team's official web site, "I wouldn't let him out. That's the way it is, man. Hey, don't tap your helmet." Jones said he expects to atone for the mistake at the next practice. Our View Unless you've suffered a serious injury, running backs simply don't ask Parcells for breathers and expect to stay on the coach's good side. Jones certainly knew this tenet, but now he'll likely learn the hard way as well. This move shouldn't cost the rookie any playing time, but Parcells doesn't have to look far (Eddie George) to point out a running back that doesn't ask for time off.

I dont think anything would make me happier then Eddie George being the Cowboys starting running back. I think last preseason game he had 3 yards on 4 carries...

I think they'll split time initially but Jones will keep taking on a bigger load as the season wears on. George is just an insurance policy.

It really hurt to see the Cowboys have some success under Parcells, while the Redskins languished under Spurrier.............THANK GOD GIBBS IS BACK and he brought some good assistants to the team as well.

Things that puzzle me about Parcells........... Why did he pass on RB Steven Jackson, when Hambrick was released???? And I can see Parcells bringing in a veteran QB, but not one as OLD and IMMOBILE as Vinny allas:

Parcells did pretty well with Joe Morris and Dave Meggat- both are not very big. He is great at getting draws and screens working to stop your pressure
