| Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread PFT.com REDSKINS-EAGLES ONE-LINERS Posted by Michael David Smith on October 6, 2008, 12:09 p.m. The Redskins rolled up 204 yards on the ground against an Eagles run defense that had allowed a total of 215 rushing yards in its first four games. Said Eagles QB Donovan McNabb, “I was embarrassed the last two weeks. Two teams that we should not have lost to.” Redskins coach Jim Zorn won the coaching battle. Eagles RB Brian Westbrook can’t seem to get healthy. Said CB Sheldon Brown of the lack of enthusiasm from the home crowd, “It felt like we were on the road for some reason.” Eagles coach Andy Reid puts the responsibility on himself for the team to play better. The Redskins are playing well on the road. The schedule gets easier for the Redskins in the coming weeks. Redskins DE Andre Carter had a big game and said afterward, “In this business, there’s always somebody nicked. The next guy has got to stand up and fill the void when we’re missing someone. And that’s what we did today. We went out and played 11 men as one, no egos, no individuals.” Redskins players had some interesting descriptions for coach Jim Zorn’s gutsy decisions.

| Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread That sounds pretty damn good, Just don't know if Jansen has any experience there, I would hate to sit him down now though. They've been able to run right and left very nice!

| Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread The Eagles revealed Monday that Brian Westbrook fractured his two of his ribs against the Redskins Sunday. Westbrook's ankle was fine Sunday, but now he's got another serious injury. Andy Reid believes Westbrook has a chance to play this week: "We'll see how things go here the next few days. He's sore." Recovery time from broken ribs can vary widely depending on a lot of factors. Some players miss weeks, some return right away. Westbrook missed one game with the same injury in 2004. It sounds like we could be looking at another Westbrook special: A game-time decision. Source: Philadelphia Inquirer

| Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Gameday thread "We're not worthy. We're not worthy" Well played game by the Skins and still NO turnovers. And the Run Game, good god. Im glad we dont see that again til late DEC. Philly needs to turn things around with a W @ SF or we'll be in a hole we can't get out of. Until we meet again, keep steam rolling the other divisions...it makes us look better too. Not that they'll need it, but good luck in St. Louis. |
