Re: Pacman gets in fight

I saw sandtrappjack checking the board out earlier. Funny, he did'nt leave a post. Cowgirl fans seem a little tight-lipped now-a-days. Could'nt get them to shut-up before we went down there and beat their ass.

Re: Pacman gets in fight

Jerry Jones just told the press that he has assigned a new driver / bodyguard and a spokesman for pacman . Tank johson will drive pacman around and all questions will be answered through T.O. All three will attend church services before all home games thanks to rev. Deion Sanders

Re: Pacman gets in fight

Have'nt the Cowgirls just followed the path laid out by the Raiders? Remember when the Raiders would take the "badboys" from other teams that had a reputation for trouble? Players would WANT to go there because Al Davis did'nt care, ( Just Win Baby). Has anyone checked the Raiders record the last few years? Al Davis is an ego maniac and so is Jerry Jones. The more control he has the more F'ed up they become. Other than Switzer winning the super bowl with the team Jimmy Johnson built, they really have'nt done anything since J.J. left.

Anyone care to guess how Sheriff Goodell is going to address the matter?

Re: Pacman gets in fight

I'm sure Goodell is pretty livid about this. Jones was supposed to be the poster child for his crackdown on player conduct. He was supposed to be able to say "See? Look at this. I banned this guy for a year and it turned his life around and now he's a better person for it. And we're a better league."

Seems like the fight has been blown out of proportion and, as is often the case, Jones was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But, as even Jerry Jones said, he no longer gets the benefit of the doubt. Goodell is going to have to do something.

If your the poster child for good behavior and reform, WTF you doing in a bar @ 2 am on a practice night? It does not speak well on your commitment to your team?

when i heard the cowboys say that the incident didnt warrant any action i went back to when jerry jones traded for him and said "hes doesnt get the benefit of the doubt other players normally would and that he will be held to the higher standard . . . "

to me its not that big of a deal and wont be pissed when the boys and league dont do something. JJ was smart enough to have off duty cops as pacman babysitters because if the body guard wasnt a cop i dont think we'd hear the police take this "the complaintant didnt want to press charges so their was no crime" cover up talk . . . .

go skins!!

Re: Pacman gets in fight

I think it was an ESPN article talking about how Chris Henry was suspended even though no charges were filed.

How is this NOT the same situation?

Re: Pacman gets in fight

just watched jerry jones and deion sanders takes on the incident at nfl.com (sweet weekly collection of videos if you havent been there go now) and JJ and dieon seem to have different views of the fact that pacman fought his babysitter.

JJ - found it alarming that it happened with the very people hired to keep him out of these messes. (not his exact words but JJ seems to get it)

dieon - this was in-house and not involving someone from the general public so it should go unpunished.

lol the whole point of 24-7 babysitters is so that pacman has ZERO contact and opportunity to get into a fight with the public so the only person he could possibly fight was his own security . . . which im sure JJ thought was a long shot till now.

dieon - if a guys in jail should we let him out early since he hasnt attacked anyone from the general public since hes been locked up? i know a bit of a stretch but i hate this biased bill belichik double talk . . we had a different interpretation of the rule stuff. this is why i follow football and not politics.

go skins!

Re: Pacman gets in fight

"They were literally kidding each other," Jerry Jones said Thursday. "They were jiving around ... and all of a sudden one of them starting saying some things, and here you go."
Does this sound at all like:
"However, it was an act of horseplay and that there was no argument or fight and the cut was a result of an accident, not from malicious intent on Irvin's part."

'Kidding around' (getting in a fight with your own bodyguard) and 'horseplay' (stabbing your own teammate in the neck) take on a whole new meaning in Big D.

I heard somebody on ESPN say, Jerry is WAY to old, WAY to rich, and WAY to white to be using phrases like "jiving around"
They left out, WAY to F...n fake! plastic, stiff, untrustworthy, seady, unscrupulous, underhanded, ghastly........etc

Re: Pacman gets in fight

This is great. I'm not sure what is more humorous, the article or the comments from the fans.

DALLAS COWBOYS Blog | The Dallas Morning News

What a bunch of idiots.
