| Re: The Skins Won't Win Another Game! There seems to be a lot of talk about what we should do as fans , as if WE are playing the game. Unless I'm at the game, I don't think it matters if I'm juggling cats or screaming my lungs out. It does'nt matter if I'm flippant or deadly serious, it's not going to affect the outcome of the game. What's important is that the PLAYERS understand they need to take each opponent seriously, not me. Before this game this was a team that was happy and feeling good about themselves, just as we were feeling about them. It's natural and was well deserved. I consider this game as "growing pains". Unless they're stupid, and I don't think they are, they will learn from this. If we, the team, don't grow, we're not going anywhere. A good team improves as the season goes on. I believe we will do that. This , after 6 weeks, cannot be the finished product. We will continue to learn and improve, and yes have growing pains, but by the end of the season we should look better than when we started. If we won games like this, I believe the team would grow complacent and that would lead us to look like the Cowgirls always look at the end of the year. We deserved to lose because of turnovers and penalties, not because of what I, or anyone else on this board said. |

I guess my real point is I hope some people around here learned that wins are never a foregone conclusion, regardless of opponent. Nor should we take it easy on the team after this awful loss just because we looked good for the 4 weeks prior. We came out flat, we looked bad on special teams and offense, and blew it at home to a winless team. As a fan I'm hopeful, but also staying humble. Obviously the way we act as fans has no bearing on the outcome of the game. I sure am glad Dallas is wetting the bed.

| Re: The Skins Won't Win Another Game! Sadistic? Hell no brother! I think everyone who isn't a Cowboys fan got a huge kick outta that. TO with another bad game. He's had 3 or fewer catches in 4 out of their 6 ballgames. Implosion is imminent. God that makes me happy.

| Re: The Skins Won't Win Another Game! They got it together at the end, but it was too late. Couple sacks would have iced it for the Skins at the end, but not much of a pass rush, which has always been our Achilles heal today. Still, the sloppy play was inexcusable. We better put up 30+ up on the Browns and Lions. We need to "pad" our record before we face the Steelers. |

What evidence do you have to support the fact that certain players on the team were overconfident heading into this game? Do you have any names of players who played well below what we would expect from them? I think there are legitimate analytical reasons for the loss today, but we don't need that half-ass media excuse garbage on this board.

We did MOST things on the field today just as well as we had been doing them over our first 5 games. We simply 1) turned the ball over too much, and 2) did not protect the quarterback vs. a very impressive pass rush. Neither of those things constitutes overlooking the Rams. I agreed with you that we probably outplayed them, but they played well enough on defense to keep a single fluke touchdown as the margin of victory.
