| Re: Seems like Cutler might be available. There could be divorce proceedings in this mess...? Who knows how this thing will end. But it surely isn't a pretty picture now. Tension between Cutler, McDaniels isn't diminishing - The Denver Post

It's the NFL. Players' names get floated in trade rumors all the time. If he's upset, he should have handled it in-house, behind closed doors. All this crap is not good for the Broncos organization or their rookie head coach. Cutler is acting really selfish IMO.

| Re: Seems like Cutler might be available. We have our QB already. Jason Campbell is going to be our QB for the next 8-10 years. Why is everyone so willing to throw this guy away? Seriously, let's at least give him a second year in the same offense (for the first time...maybe EVER in his entire football career) before we dump him. Do you really want to trade for a biznitch like Cutler? Seriously, this kid has been crying for 3 weeks now about this trade that didn't happen. Too damn bad if your new coach was trying to get a guy he was already familiar with...the NFL is a business, it's not Romper Room. The first sign of adversity in his career (his battle with diabetes aside) and he's acting like a 5th grader. That's the difference between him and Campbell...Jason is unflappable. Watch his demeanor after a play...you can't tell whether he just threw a TD or a pick...he's cool and calm under pressure (very Montana-esque). Who do you want leading your team? A whiney ass kid or a tough nosed FOOTBALL player. I've got my moving buddy and it's Jason Campbell. Don't post any BS about Campbell's holding the ball too long either...it only seems that way because the O-line was terrible in the second half last year. When the line played well and sustained blocks (first 8 games) Jason won 6 of 8!! Who complained then? No one, we were praising him. Please don't take this as an attack on anyone's post/opinion, I respect everyone on this site (we have very knowledgeable fans). I'm just trying to emphasize my support for Jason Campbell as our QB!! Mad man-love for the kid! LOL. HAIL!!

| Re: Seems like Cutler might be available. A talented young QB acting like a diva...amazing! Didn't John Elway act like a diva before he even got in the league? All Cutler wants is a head coach that is not pining for Cassel. I will take him on my team anyday.

| Re: Seems like Cutler might be available. I guess I just still don't get the hate for Campbell. I really think he's progressing well enough to be a solid starter for us for a number of years into the future... I don't put him on any elite level by any standards, but I just don't understand why we can't give this guy time. He's played better than just about any other QB we've had in the last 20 years (going post 1991), minus Johnson...I think we need to just let him develop. (Thats not saying I would not take a guy like Cutler, but I just don't get the hate on Campbell... not so much in this thread as in general)

If JC doesn't produce this season or significantly improve he should be let go. I just see an average NFL QB in him at best if he doesn't do it this season. With that being said, Zorn too has to produce to keep his job. I don't think it will happen, but if a trade could be done, that might be something to look into in order to have something to build upon post JC/Zorn. Collins is too old anyway. Also, with Cutler in the fold, maybe that will light a fire under JC to perform better. The '10 QB class is going to be very good, but if we just repeat our record last season those guys will be long gone by the time our draft slot is on the clock. | |
