| Re: Ramsey on the move again Lol, it's not like he's the first one to make that assumption. I remember once my friend tried to argue with me that Joey Harrington had a stronger arm then Patrick Ramsey.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the guy, but he just didn't have "it".

| Re: Ramsey on the move again Ramsey had a lot of potential. He has a very strong arm. Spurrier basically killed him. |

| Re: Ramsey on the move again Its a wonder Denver let him go. He belongs somewhere that has O-line problems. It will shorten his career further, but I have never seen someone get hit harder and still throw a fade route. He always popped right up (and never yelled at Spurrier for absolutely no blocking schemes).

| Re: Ramsey on the move again I'm not sure the Spurrier excuse holds up anymore. Regardless of who coached him up those first few years I don't think his career would have ended up any different. |

| Re: Ramsey on the move again I'm tired of the Spurrier excuse myself. If a guy can play QB all his life and having a bad coach for 2 years can ruin his career then he had problems befor then. He has now had 5 years to get over Spurrier and seems he cannot find a team. |

| Re: Ramsey on the move again He simply didn't have the mental makeup to achieve logn term success. I don't think he was dumb so his defense reading had to be at least ok but he clearly went nutso once the ball was snapped. He rushed sometimes, he was way too slow at others. His dcision making seemd to suffer from "ohshitfluenza" and he simply didn't have the right makeup to make plays beyond simple open WRs. As a backup I think the guy had a place in the league but if he is your starter for any length of time you're doomed. As far as Spurrier, maybe his scheme quickened the ripening on Ramsey's inabilities but they were there to begin with sans OBC. |

| Re: Ramsey on the move again Ramsey didn't have it. We all get caught up in thinking that our QB is the next great thing or our longterm solution. Ramsey deserved a chance, he got it, and didn't have it. He's a mediocre NFL journeyman QB. Nothing wrong w/ that. After a couple of seasons, if we can't tell whether or not a QB has it, he probably doesn't. There are a few QB's though, who find "it" as they get older. Rich Gannon and Trent Green comes to mind (just coincidence they were both Skins). |
