| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams It looks like instead of drafting a O-Lineman they just signed one. It looks like Sanchez might be the pick tomorrow. |

| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams Not a bad pick if he can stay healthy, except he hasn't been able to Remarkable run of accumulating 1st round picks from 2002 though-Williams, Duckett, Rumph, Ramsey, Haynesworth and Robert Thomas

| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams If Williams stays healthy this could be a very good sign. The back health seem to be the problem. |

| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams That's not exactly what Snyder said. He said that we are not going to spend next year's #1 to move up. There's a difference.

| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams Silly signing IMO...if were not gonna get a legit guy in the draft we should commit to set money aside to sign one in FA...Levi Jones as i mention or another.

| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams This could be a very good pick up or another Erasmus James. But with Dockery and M. Williams they're certainly making efforts to improve the line

On to thread. I'm not expecting much from Williams. Hopefully I will be wrong. Updated: April 24, 2009, 9:29 PM ET Redskins won't trade first-round pick Associated Press ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder says his team will not trade its first-round pick in 2010 in an attempt to move up Saturday in the NFL draft. "We're not going to be trading next year's 1," Snyder told radio station ESPN980 in an interview Friday. "We've already said that several times." The Redskins have the No. 13 choice in the first round this year, and there has been speculation the team might want to try to move up in order to select Southern Cal quarterback Mark Sanchez. "We're really not as a franchise comfortable trading first-round draft picks," Snyder said. "I don't think it's a wise move to keep trading that pick. It's always a little bit risky." He noted that the only time his club recently did swap the following year's No. 1 pick, it was to acquire quarterback Jason Campbell in 2005 -- "and it worked out quite well," Snyder said.

| re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams He'll be lucky to make it through training camp. But it's not a bad signing. No risk, possibly a decent reward. I highly doubt this changes our draft strategy regarding the O-line.

I'm not saying that we should do this - in fact I might kill myself if we did. I'm even on record saying that the move-up talk is just crap. But the fact is that teams trade more than just draft picks. If we really wanted to move up, we could.
