What if this was just a regular Joe who makes 60k a year? She wouldn't file a civil suit. She would've went to the cops. That's why this is just so shady. A millionare rapes me, I wait a full year and then file a civil suit. I'm not buying it.

I'm not sure I agree. People file civil suits against "average Joes" for battery, sexual assault, etc., you just don't hear about it because they're "average Joes." Moreover, many of those suits are filed well after the incident giving rise to the suit took place. That's why in many jurisdictions, you have several years to bring this kind of suit. To say that anyone who files a civil suit against anyone making any kind of money 6 months or more after the incident took place is a liar, whore, con artist, etc. isn't really reasonable IMO.

The funnier thing about the PFT reporting is that they are spending more time complaining that ESPN hasn't reported than reporting the damn story. If you have a legitimate, strong story you don't want or need any other news organizations backing you up or running the story also. You want to stand alone, again if it's a legitimate story.

Well people lie all the time to get money out of wealthy people. It goes both ways. Could he have done it? Anything is possible. But some things are less possible. If a good looking guy that's very wealthy/famous and has hot girlfriends needs to rape an average looking girl that's a head case then that's something he has to live with. It comes down to her word against his.

I agree with you 100%. I have had a friend who was assaulted as well and it is not always an easy thing to admit. However there are some women out there who also do cry wolf in hopes to make a few bucks. It is a travesty that the actions of a few ruin it, or make it harder for those who are truly going through something like this.

I really hope this did not happen, I like Ben and think he is an upstanding guy.
Time will tell and the truth will be revealed.

Rape is not about looks or wealth it is about power and control. Some people who become famous truly believe they are above the law.

You're talking about a guy that can probably get any women he wants. Why would someone like HIM rape someone like her? It makes no sense. He has too much to lose. Yeah sure it's possible, but like I said some things are LESS possible. Plus there is no criminal case, apparently no evidence and it's a year later. Sorry but I'm not giving this women the benefit of the doubt. Not yet.
